  11. Becoz new flat is built upon LEGO concept mah. Not much supporting beam like the old days when they more kiasu a bit. 8x3x3 should be around 1.2-1.5 tonnes without sump.
  12. From my past bills, I notice alternate month are estimate while the other month are actual reading of the meter. So if the month they estimate is too low, the 'actual reading' bill will increase quite a lot to offset the short change on estimated month. Don't quote me on this. I heard that they will do a yearly summary on your bills. So at the close of each year, they will compare the meter reading and compare with the money they charge you. If there are discrepancy, they will charge you in a whole lump sum. For your case, you might be paying a little lesser every mth, so during this yearly summary month, they round off the amount and send u a bomb. Whereas for Roidan case, they've been charging him extra each mth, therefore at the close of the year, he is given a bonus to pay lesser when his actual consumption for that month still remain the same.
  13. Don't think will cause much problem. My 6.5x2.5x2.5 ft tank have been standing for almost 2 yrs. Below it is a 4x2x2 ft sump with lots of water. Use 260kg of sand and 150kg of rocks. 60kg of salt to get the right salinity. So far my floor have not warp in yet ... kee Remember the days of the louhan era, ppl have 20+ 4ft tank in 3 tier order inside a single room, the room also no collaspe ...
  14. The model indicate a tunze pump for their skimmer use. Tunze is using "High-tech jets", kinda like venturi technology for their skimmer.
  15. Alfa is right. My 8m3 RD broke down slightly over a year driving my beckett. I believe is the pressure causing the motor to put out more heat due to inadequate cooling.

  19. Bad news today, my AT finally lost the fight to skin infection. The fish suffered skin infection after it got struck to the tunze turbelle pump inlet. A ###### force of 3700litres/hr acting on the size of a 20cts coin diameter surface area, the skin is in horrible state. Thought its recovering, but got worst after day 3 and detoriate till last night. Good news, I will be buying AT again. Ya..from my fav fish shop, Reborn
  20. Hi Maxima, I do not have any special trick or treatment to keep my achilles alive for the past 15mths. The fish just refuse to take anything I feed it beside market vege which I haven't been feeding for ages. It keep itself alive by glazing at the aglea on my live rock. The fish aren't fat at all, or rather its a little thin sometimes. Bad news is, I might loose this fish soon. Just last week, it got caught at my Tunze Turbelle pump inlet for a few minutes. It seem okie at first but 2 days ago, I notice the skin where the pump suck on have developed infection, some white slimy substance. The fish have since gone hiding and look really sick now So sad to see the fish go weaker each day now ....

    Help! MH light

If you are using SE bulb, the problem might lies in your E40 bulb socket. The contact point where the base of the bulb sit onto the contact is moving away during heat expension. You can either replace the socket or place a tiny spring below the contact point to prevent movement.
  22. Congrat to your fully paid field trip... and dun forget to enjoy..
