  7. I dun know are they consider as Europe VHO or not.... But T5 output is 30%-50% brighter than PL. And Because of their think tube, you can squeeze more given your tank width.
  8. T5 lightings can be found in most of Singapore lighting shop, especially those located at Geylang. There is even T4 in Singapore. The main problem is those lighting fixture sold here is not meant for aquarium use as it's not water-proof and they do not carries light tube of desire colour temp we need. I have check with them, the best tube they have is only 4300K, for home or office use. By the way, my office block is using T5 for their ceiling lights...kee..kee... For all your convience, Holly Lighting at Geylang Lor 13(not sure which lorong liao) do carries T5 lighting but light tube is 4300k only.
  9. I wanted to bid for the person...but then, she stated strictly no contact or she is not up for sale.

  11. Hey guys....just came across this site at Yahoo Auctions Might interest you...
  12. hey Wrassy...isn't that a "LouHan fish" overhead filter you using? I believe they aren't salt water resistance as they using a steel rod to move the propellor.
  13. Not yet leh. Still trying my luck with Singapore Pools..... Now using a Sander WT350 with airstone....
  14. Maybe can check with Wisma Atrium management...kee..kee.. They have a big tank with fake coral.... their giant clam is real big manz...
  15. Lona You can get the shop info from www.petmart.com.sg
  16. For that size of tank volume, maybe you have to go for Protein Skimmer-Type 200-1060 with a single eheim 1060 pump. If you have cash to burn, by all means, get the Protein Skimmer-Type 200-2x1060 with dual eheim 1060 pump. You can check the info of H&S at their website.
  17. Oh gosh....tats a lot of different when I toking abt buying 150kg of sand. Looks like its better to wait for cheaper stock to come in first...
  18. Can someone put in the list of LFS tat have gone out-of-stock for #1 sand. I am going sand hunting this weekend, so will avoid those that you have tried.
  19. They are in 30 lbs pack so it's roughly around 13.6kg. Do take note that these sand are damm heavy. This packet can only cover around 1 x 2 ft tank of 2inch dsb.
  20. We got a riddle here!! Sound like button polyp to me...kee..kee.... Any prize for guessing it correct ar .. AT???
  21. Wah...your sapphire do sound cheap.... Mine with normal 12mm float glass for 6.5ft already cost 1.8k for the tank alone..... Looks like I paying too much...
  22. Phang, Not now lah, my tank also haven't arrive. Once its up and running, confirm can run, then I post the spec. The stand is 6.5 ft long....kee..kee...
  23. Phang, I think just go with the normal stainless steel they offer. Be it 304 or 316, they still corrode in a matter of time. You just have to apply some protective coating once in a while to maintain it. By the way, I also never ask what stainless steel is mine.... Tomolo I will find out
  24. Okie..My turn to step in liao.....What a nasty mess you got there, Ernie... Actually for a 30L tank, use live rock to start the cycle is more than enough, they are enough die-off to kick-start the nitrogen cycle. You must have used a giant tiger prawn for your case ...... First of all, your ammonia is way off the scale. Do a massive or 100% water change as soon as possible and don't move or wash the LR in fresh water. Remove all dead crabs, worms and stars. Refill with new mix salt water, add power head and an airstone, of cause must connect to an air-pump hor ... Let the tank cycle from here for 1 day. Add half a tea spoon (not table spoon hor) of common table white sugar(your kopi sugar) the 2nd day. The water should get cloudy by the 4th day as the baterial bloom should have occurred. Let the water clear by itself, maybe 2-3 day, and remove the airstone. Check your NH4, NO2, ignore NO3 for now as anaerobic will not have established. Do minor water change and wait every 3-4days after the last stage .... Don't scare scare okie... be patience ...
