Hi, I have added Ultralife red slime yesterday and after about 1.5 day passes, some of the red algae are removed from the LR. Tonight i will change 15% of my water and will repeat another dosing of Ultralife red slime. Cheers

I have this same problem. wheather i shifted 1/4 chiller inside the cabinet to open space also try a 1/3 artica chiller... temp still high and chiller working none stop during lighting period.. Just to share with you, get the return pump from the chiller to the sump which has a bigger area to cool before light on and during light off (it help a bit). Adjust the MH lighting height higher maybe 2 to 5 inch or more depending on your tank corals, so that more area from the water surface to MH ventilation and add some fan to blow onto the MH lighting up to the ceiling. I will reduce my lighting period for my MH lighting. But was considering on Ultralife red slime .

How do you use Ultralife red slime and where can i get a bottle? I notice that some of my zoas are also cover with the algae. I just wonder what causes the algae, lighting or others reason?????? Thanks

Hi, i hve this problem of getting red colour algae recently. Notice that it grow on live rock with tiny bubble on the red algae. My tank lighting 2x 250w MH 1500 to 2100 hrs plus 2x 54w T5 light from 1400 to 2400hrs. So far I have check the water perimeter KH 12, Cal 450, NO2 and NO3 are normal. Today and yesterday, i use a tooth brush to brush it away. I intended to change about 15% of tank water on weekend. What other advise? Just remember that i have begin to add Pohl's Xtra 4ml weekly and microBacter 10ml for my 2x2.5x 4 tank since 1mth ago. cheers
