hi, I have just "murdered" my tang yesterday. She has white spots. So, I tool her out and gave her freshwater bath for less than 1 mins and let her back to the tank. She was ok but this morning goes to heaven :< Have tried the following methods: a) Food soaked with garlic Partial change of water c) Freshwater bath Nothing work. White spots keep coming. Don't intend to try commercial medication as I have live rocks and several shrimps. Now, I have left with 1 clown and 1 angel. Any experts who can advise moi ? Much appreciated. Kam siah chwee chwee.

hi, What a nice terrier u have there. Hope u could make sure that the person you sell it to are good and responsible owners. All terriers are playful and hyperactive in nature. So, if anyone intends to keep one as pet, you gotta be extremely patient and tolerant. Otherwise it will be better choice to pick a less active breed such like pom, chihuahua, pug etc. Just my 2 cents. Cheers ! ps: There will be a Dog Competition at Singapore Expo this coming weekend, fyi.

I have a mini jack russell called "Jackie". She's adorable but extremely naughty. She cost me quite a bomb (abt $1K because of her size which is smaller than the typical jack russells). Cheers

Tomato clownfish size in captivity
proms replied to CoRaL_BeAuTY's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
Depend how much u feed your tomato clown and depend how large is your tank lar.... -
u lucky lar....if male-female CB combination. I am not able to tell which is male or female CB when buying from lfs.
-
CB not that bad lar....if the tank is large enough and sufficient LRs for hiding place, the other shrimps will either hide or run away from CB. But absolutely no no for 2 CB in the same tank.
-
Angels are sensitive fish....make sure you get one that feed on BS or commercial food. Also, they are extremely territorial. They will kill each other if kept in a small tank.
-
Thats 7 fishes in a 2 ft tank...good luck to your fishes.

Anyone Has Experience Keeping "ah-go-go"
proms replied to proms's topic in FOWLR (Fish-only with Live-rock)
hi, Saw my "Ah-go-go" has broken fins but still active, healthy and eats like pig. His other tank mates are 1 False clown and 1 Velvet Damsel. Tank is full of LR and hiding place. Don't really know who's the culprit ? -
Exchange with 2 clowns ? You are kidding me..... how abt 1 turbo snail in exhange ?
-
All clowns and damsels are extremely territorial. If they could live together, it's your good luck, otherwise avoid putting different species together unless you havea n extremely large tank (4 ft above and lots of hiding places like LR for the weaker ones).
-
How much is one ? Can it be kept together with CS and boxing shrimp ?

Will Clownfish Fight Until Die?
proms replied to spicyball's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
Personally, I will prefer Maroon clown as they are more beautiful than other clowns. But, they are not hardy. Tomato tends to be more aggressive but they are real hardy (like damsel)....suitable fish for beginners -
hi, Where can I buy mantis shrimps ? Did not find any in most lfs....

Also depend on fish size lar......tomato or maroon clown will swim away if you have a slightly bigger size common clown in the same tank -
hi AT, I am not doubting your experience here...but just need to know if filling up to 70% of the tank with LR will limit the swimming space of the fishes. How abt 50% of tank wiyth of LR instead ? Cheer !

hi, Those supplements are meant for corals and invertebras....not really meant for fishes.... Cheers !
-
It is African Clown lar...
-
hi, All marine fishes are like that.....if they don't eat after you have brought it home. It will die.....so, it's a gamble. Suggest that before you buy any fish, try asking the lfs folks to feed them in your presence. Cheers !

hi, There's one shop called Planet Aquatic selling some marine stuff at Marine Parade Central, between the the 7-11 shop and the Salvation Army Dropping point. There's another one called Sam Yick near the Marine Parade Food Center. Cheers !
