  1. I'm interested in yr red prata. Pls PM me the price and collection place. Tks.
  2. I just happened to purchase a box of the Mini Labor Nitrat-Test ... my first impression of it is that the obviously English-translated instructions are pretty horrendous! For eg. the 1st step it begins: "Add 20ml water from your aquarium into the semi transparent cup with 50ml and add 20 droops of Ni 1 as well as one full spoon top of Ni2". My question is: ... with 50ml of what ... is it 1 tablespoon or 1 teaspoon ... The kit is labelled for 50 tests ... & there is probably only about 3-4 full tespoonful of Ni2?? The 2nd step: "After 7 mins put 10ml of the water from the first semi transparent cup in the second transparent cup with 30-50ml. Take care that you do not get something from the chemical Ni2 in the transparent" Can someone shed some light of what the hell the second step instructions are trying to convey? Cookie, U seemed to hv understood what the instructions mean since U did the product review. Pls. help with this.

  5. Blenny, I guess its a type of "switch" per say. Its a 5" long orange coated gadget you put into your sump. I think one end must be linked to a submersible pump in your fresh water topup container. When the water in the sump falls below a pre-determined level, the sensor picks that up & automatically signals the pump to pump water from the container into the sump. Works on same principle as the TUBBY.

  12. Yaah, only possible if you know how to adjust the darn thing. I hd the AM denitrator installed more than a mth ago ... N03 still hovering around 30ppm. ... still struggling to adjust the outlet water flow!
  13. Barracuda, yr abv statement is not true. The bottled water U buy for top up your car battery is basically distilled water, its TDS content is zero & not diluted H2S04 as you say. I think U shld chk yr facts b4 dishing this kind of advice out! I do however, recommend getting proper pH7.0 calibration fluids from Petmart sold for this specific purpose of doing the job it is intended for.
  14. Reefaholic, I am interested in your True Percula pair (male & female). Pls PM me yr best price. Many

  19. Aaah yes ... I understand the nature of things when it comes to territorial area within a confined living space & the size/attitude/"who comes first" succession of each inhabitant. As mentioned in my post, my Regal Tang has already established territory in the tank the past yr. The PB, becos it is naturally a more aggressive fish, was only introduced 3wks ago and of smaller size to the RT. Last in went the YT ... altho it's behaviour is categorised as moderately aggressive, it is the only tang of the zebrasoma species (so less chance of territorial fighting) unlike the above two of the paracanthus/acanthurus type. I purposely introduced it last & bought a slightly bigger specimen so it can hold its place when it comes to feeding. The YT was v. shy at first, always hiding when anyone came near the tank .. only began feeding with the rest of the pack about 5 days after being introduced. Phew, I was getting worried that it wld starve to death like a smaller one I tried to introduce a few mths ago. This poor YT got bullied and chased by a fully grown domino damsel who has reigned terror & has been impossible to remove w/o causing havoc to the rockwork setup. the YT never started eating, it just got thinner & thinner and I think finally just withered away.
  20. PMed you. Picked up 1 pkg. spirulina for you. Pls. come & collect fr. my house.
  21. FuEl, Is meeting place confirmed? Bedok MRT quite big ... where exactly is meeting spot & how do I know who's who as I've never met any of you guys b4. Pls clarify.
  22. You mean too high?? The standard salinity level for marine tank is about 1.023sg , no?
  23. No problem, I hv both the BT and the PB in my tank. The BT is a rather peaceful fish, was the first to go in a yr ago & is now 3" long, the PB (which is a more aggressive of the species) went in 3 wks ago. It measured 2". I also added a 3" YT a wk ago. They all get along v. well, no bullying witnessed altho' the YT still quite shy & still hasn't learned to grab food during feeding b4 the others devour everthing! I think it is impt. to provide lots of hiding (rockwork) & swimming space (my tank > 6ft) so you can enjoy its growth w/o worrying for a few yrs at least when it outgrows yr tank.
  24. LATEST UPDATE: I am including a free overhaul service of the Teco by a qualified technician b4 takeover by buyer. Cheers
  25. lightningstrike, don't worry, be happy ... your PM was first, so you get 1st refusal.
