Just looked at the hermit crab again. Its actually black with bright orange stripes on its legs. Its shell house is about an inch in diameter and covered with coralline algae. Its an attractive creature (is why I bought it in the first place) and it has done excellent clean-up work of unwanted detrius) but .. eventually, I had to take the little bugger out of my main tank because it was crawling all over the the aquascape work, and had toppled (for the upteenth time), small coral pcs .. and the guys who have seen and helped out with my tank know that it is a "pain-in-the-behind" to put them back in place due to the height & depth of my aquarium!! Anyway, its living in my refugium until I can sell it to someone who would make better use of it. Will post a photo when I get a chance ... :-)

Thanks dude for the HUUGGGE.. hammer! It is a beaut! Actually glad it broke in half or I would have had a real problem getting the whole one into the tank by myself. With much difficulty, I put it on the somewhat higher area in the tank. The larger piece was the most difficult as the tongs would not hold it (w/o chipping the delicate bits off ) so I had to physically stretch way my hand way in & put in on a high rock! It was obviously freaking stressed as slime was all over the place ... but I think will recover shortly. again .. good value for my $$!
