Yup, there are black tangs but its very expensive.

BH is spot-on. For the 3x250w MHs, Im using BLV 10kk bulbs. For the T5s, 2 x 80w Pure Actinics and 2 x 80w Actinic Plus (Deltec/ATI bulbs). Hope that helps.

Heya, Got the replacement parts this afternoon and lights are back in action. Total downtime: 36 hours. Thumbs up to Arcadia.

Got a major setback with the Tank today. My Arcadia 3-series has decided to call it a day and I found the Thermistor to have blown from overheating most probably. Called in the fault with Arcadia UK and they are sending over the replacement Timer assembly with the onboard thermistor absolutely free of charge! Bearing in mind that the lightset ia 2 yrs old now and the warranty covers the 1st yr only. 2 thumbs up! 24 Hours and counting for my tank without MHs. Only dependent on the 4x80w (Actinic and 20kk).

Can lights for SPS tank switch off for 3 days
AlfaRomeo replied to kamiru's topic in SPS and Advanced Reefkeepers Forum
Im having the same exact situation now. My MHs has a blown thermistor/timer so it cannot be powered up. Replacement assembly is on the way. So far so good without MHs for 24 hours. -
Salifert is highly recommended. No need to count drops too

Weileong, Im easy. If you want to move on, dats fine with me. If you want to keep saying Im a liar and cheater and use my pics without expressed permission, I cant stop you either.
-
Oh ya, btw Piglet, Since you like to post my SPS pics and also like altering my pics by using photoshop and keep mocking me and keep saying I am a liar and cheater. Can I have a look at your tank setup and pics pls? I searched all over but I cannot find a pic of your beautiful tank. Best Regards.
-
Piglet and the others, pls stop posting the pics. Have you ever heard of copyright laws? I own the copyright and IP rights for that pic. Posting it without my expressed permission is a violation. Thanks Also, if you have a look at Rav's post, the statement 'and worst of all someone dont have hanna still dare go lie here and there' was the first instance the words 'lie' was used. Posting that edited photo in July was a mistake on my part. Im sorry that the photo was posted and I have actively removed/replaced that pic which a more recent photo taken in September which more accurately resembles the table. Lets move on guys.

hmmm, did you tune the CR correctly? Main purpose of a CR is to maintain KH. If the CR cannot hold the KH, most probably you have not tuned it correctly or the unit is undersized if its already at the max setting of the CR. Whats the effulent KH/CA of your CR? What PH are you running the CR at? Also, even with ARM, I observed that you will need to dose MG occasionally to bring it up (at least that is what happened in my tank). Highly recommended to put in about 10% of MG granulates in the CR to better maintain the MG levels. Cheers!

Cool! Thanks for the info!

Interesting. Is that a fact?

Try to go as large a water volume as you afford. The larger the water volume, the more stable the parameters generally.

Dunt mention it lah No big deal..

Nice hoeks!

A 7 inch tang in a 4 feet tank? Are you sure dude? I dunt think the fellow will be comfortable in such a relatively small space compared to his size.

Im using the Eheim autofeeder for a very long time and its highly reliable. Widely available from the sponsors. U can program from 1 - 4 daily feedings and each feeding you can select if you want only 1 dose or 2 doses. The amount in each feed is adjusted by a simple sliding trop door. Only handles pellets. Hope that helps

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051025/ap_on_...eef_destruction Topic intentionally posted in 'SPS and Advanced Reefkeepers Forum' so that it doesnt get lost in the Kopi-Tiam section. A very very important piece of news indeed. One day, we just might be repopulating the reefs with captive corals. Just a thought.

Get them out of there before more stuffs are damaged.

Camel shrimps are not reef safe and its not the same as a peppermint shrimp. The camel shrimp has a much more pronounced hump at the back when compared to the peppermint.
