Any facts in that statement? I'm not looking for an argument , I just want to make sure. Because my fuge area is 20% of my display volume. I'm running macro right now, and it seems to keep phosphates at 0, but does little to alter nitrates. Am i better to ditch it? I'm also running a Kent Marine Phos Reactor. So, should I ditch the fuge? How about I replace it with a 6" DSB?

I think you guys are asking pics of Jon's new tank. If you're asking pics of my tank. Nothing to post really. Boring BBT with some LRs, powerheads, empty sump, and few fish and snails and other boring equipment. In a few months when I get some SPS and more fish then maybe I'll post some pics. Cheers

Love the cube and BBT look. I have a 2.5ft x 2 ft x 2.5ft and BBT too. No sps yet, will add in 3 or 4 months. Just three 3 fish. What's your equipment?

I just went BBT, and never looked back. I actually prefer my BBT scape and the look way better than SSB or DSB. I understand its a hassle to go BB esp when you have corals. Luckily my tank is only 6 weeks old with 3 fish and 2 cleaner shrimp. It was very easy to go BB. Cheers

Yes, possible. Have a huge chaeto refugium and have a huge remote DSB. That should do the trick. Minimal fish load will help too along with excellent husbandry. After all this, you may still have excess nutrients, but your sps may still be ok, and they may not colour up nicely. Perhaps stay brown only.

I think if bioballs or biohome are managed effectively then they should not create nitrate. At least this is what I read somewhere. But reefkeeping is suppose to be fun and simple. I would go without them too, less risk, and husbandry, and more simplicity - hence more fun!

I like the way you hanged your lights using pvc pipes. Nice aquascaping, esp in BB.
