definitely not overkill , i'm using hammer head for my 6ft. which is just nice. split it to four pipes to main tank . like this u dun need any power head in ur tank.

What i heard from RD its mean to be the spare pump for the skimmer which the last owner wants to upgrade from 2000 to 4000 pump . thats y only the pump no impeller. And Rd has mention its one time off case like this and has mention to the orig owner to intend stuff like this so no warranty.and owner understand.

confirm from seet himself. the pump is from RD but there is no more warranty and RD will not hold any responsible for this pump. which this pump is meant for a spare pump for the skimmer. Yes the pump is 220v .
