    just went to the electronic street in taipei. There is a 5W LED that drive direct using 12VDC. but it cost S$30 per piece....

    after read thru the datasheet.. http://www.philipslumileds.com/pdfs/AB11-A.PDF it mention, if no heatsink is attach together, the current will never over 0.3A, therefore is correct. And also base on the photo, the LED I got was Luxeon V.

    but after carefully observe, the die in the lens is similar to 3 watt.... for 1 watt is the right side.. which is star.. for 3 watt is left side .. which is a square....

    Well.. they do not have any spec. But I did ask them about the spec. is 120 - 180 deg view angle, 3W, current is 0.25A The shop is at 3rd floor, and the owner is from Hong kong. The basement shop(next to staircase) selling at S$85 for 12 piece.

    I just got my LumiLED fr Sim Lim. 1 led is S$4.5 1 base is S$1.5 therefore is S$6
