that depend on the rate of the overflow pipe. The flow rate of the overflow pipe is depend on the depth of the pipe in the main tank. So If the pipe is not deep enough, the flow will be very slow. So if you get a strong pump, you actually dry up the sump tank and flood the main tank.....

I belif the last compartment water will flow back to center compartment if the return pump not working. Cos the water level once over the wall of the two compartment, the water will flow to the low side rite?? Correct me if I'm wrong!

I only use 1 return pump to pump the water from the sump to main tank. It is a DIY overflow pipe, The material I get from normal fish shop.

need a small 1.. and also I just bought a small air pump for my small air stone skimmer

after some many bad comments... decide to get a proper tank

try using airstone to put at the intank of the NW pump. No different. Think only way is to increase the pump power.

o ya .. 1 more thing, the light I using are 4 super white LEDs to brighten the tank... And I mount it on the book shelf... just on top of the tank...

all bros, thanks for the complement and sadness.... Well I know I can get a proper tank for her... But I like to DIY things, even I diy things for my 3ft tank... like T5, IOS, Sump, skimmer,etc.... My main reason is to have challenge to built a small nano tank with proper filter system.... I personally think this is a very cute tank to have it in anywhere(think to have 1 in my office). For the bottle behind, is just a water topup , as every 2 days I need to top up water if I dont have this bottle.

just built this tank for my wife to put on her study table...

u can start with 1 ft tank, and best only fowlr tank. oni 3 fish max. And get sea water for lfs. Change 30% of water every 2wk.

bro, buy a used sump tank, will save you alot of problem....

as above. Is a see thru glass panel table (same as those PC lab in school). Used for almost 8 months. Selling at $25 or Trade with clam.
