  1. Ha.. the pic is taken 1 day after putting in the grape macroalgae, it slowly turn white after 2 days, i quickly remove it. Don't know is it cause by me switching off the light for few hours. I only use 1x36W 10kk PL 24/7.
  2. Use to be very clear, and algae well-control. Now the glass surface, the little sandbed, the LR, even the pipe are full of algae. This pic taken sometime ago.
  3. Thanks for your advise for the Diamox. I am very sure the bubbles formed are the effect of photosynthesis. I do not have any powerhead in the refugium tank, neither do I have DSB in it. water is very calm. Seem like those 1-3mm diameter bubble are hard to dissolve. The seahorse could be taking in those bubble when it's eating the copepods. Now every 1-2 days I got to disturb the macroalgea to release the bubbles. Think I need to trim down cause it's growing too much already, furthermore cyano is attacking too. There are cyano bubble as well.
  4. Hi, I am currently using Teco680 chiller for my 4x2.5x2 tank. Pretty satisfy with the performance and low noise level. It took 3hours to reach 26.5°C from 28.5°C. One problem I face is that the thermostat isn't accurate, the different is ± 1½°C. Example I set the temperature at 27°C. TankTemp----|----ChillerDisplay----|------Chiller →26.5°C----------------28°C------------------ON →26°C------------------27°C------------------OFF →27°C------------------27°C------------------OFF →28°C------------------28°C------------------OFF →28.5°C----------------29°C------------------ON Eventhough the chillertemp is set at 27°C, but the display show 28°C. Why is it still not turn ON yet?
  5. "Diamox is a tablet which is use to counter high altitude sickness for human." - Is it too strong for the seahorse? I am sharing my refugium water with my main tank. I am afraid it's too strong for my fish too. Is it safe for coral? Removing bubble is quite impossible unless I switch off my light for the macroalgae whereby photosynthesis couldn't take place.
  6. I know.. if really got, then can apply to fish so no more ich parasite already.
  7. Got 风油 for marine?? . Anyway I dont see bubble around the belly. Infact it's around the back of it. Probably the whole seahorse is filled with bubble already. I even afraid to use a needle for my pimper, this time will be a challenge man.. anyway I am not the one to feel the pain.. Will seahorse feel pain? BUt those bubble is like a bead, probably need some massage in order to get it of it. Dont think it will survive long already..
  8. Wonder u have experience with your seahorse having bubble inside it's body. I can see the outer most layer of skin contain some bubbles. That's why it's always floating on the surface. It use to live in my refugium, where there are lots of bubble formed on the macroalgae. I believe it has intake these bubbles, cause it disability to sink. Those bubble doesn't seem to dissolve easily, it's those 3mm diamater size of bubble that we usually see on the macroalgae. Do you know the cure? (beside using a needle and poke a hole to remove the bubble).
  9. I have the same tank size and return piping similar to yours. I am using SUNSUN 3000L/H 150W return pump. No problem so far.
  10. I want MHlight. Who can give?
  11. True, it will open the gate after 5pm. But as usual, not much coral choice.
  12. Heard the WeiPro skimmer is dirt cheap. Hailea1200 is S$800
  13. Sunlight is 65kk. So I am using 10kk. And the macroalgae is growing fast and healthy. Would save the $5 if it's growing well now.
  14. I think the gov sort of controlling the widespread of those shops rather than completely swap them. With just a limited shops around that become invisible or rather transparent to foreign investor, and also allowing the young generation to explore the new software technology, a win win situation. Ask yourself, who never use pirated software!!!
  15. Unless your FL is 36W 65kk, which simulate sunlight. Anyway you won't want it to turn assexual and release the nutrient back to your tank right. 24/7 36W PL will cost you less than $5 electrial bill.
  16. IF the camera man don't film it like professional, still can bluff some kids. Too fake already, he film it while not moving, zoom in then it swing, then zoom out. Someone is pulling a fishing line attached to it, if the camera is filming really filming such scene, he would have wet his pants already..
  17. Probably there is an ulcer deep in the throat. It happened to me once, as I drink water and eating something, this pain is just like swallowing glass.
  18. I guess the more important points to take note is that whether the chiller can last, reliable, performance (how long it takes to chill to temperate), noise and power consumption in long run. My friend once told me that his house stay have a working Mitsubishi fridge in the 60's.
  19. Heard only the black one is useful, is it true?
  20. ALternatively,, get a fish with name starting with the alphabet N, S, E, W
  21. Think it's better to find a fish that's facing to the direction, for example..
  22. Just take the mahjong tile logo lah.. Dong Nan Xi Bei
  23. Wait for few more days. Or maybe your water is really clean. I am using 2014, skimmate appear only after 3 days onwards.. Recently changed water, so don't see skimmate now.
