  1. Maybe this pic helps explain more.
  2. Saw that jc85 posted a Yuma pic (the bottom pic), and I am thinking whether my green mushroom is also a Yuma (the top pic)? They both look similar to me. This mushroom drop off from the main rock which has around 20pcs of it. Thought it's dying, ever throw in my quarantine tank without light for weeks. Later I put back to tank. Now it's multiplying and open up 5" diamater big. Wonder is this ordinally green mushroom or Yuma too?
  3. Thanks. Keen in TS7, it the flowrate controllable since it has a driver box? Tunze Turbelle ® Stream Kit TS7 consist of - Tunze 6000 - singlecontroller - blue driver box - power adapter Am I right?
  4. As long as I dont point directly should be fine right? Point it to the glass surface and let the current circulate.
  5. Can use the 7000L tunze for 4x2x2.5? I have lot of LPS too.
  6. I got nothing to say as my fish has no ich now. But personally I dont find the marin cure useful too. Since angry already bought it, he can go ahead and try a it, I am just telling him not to overdose, and so far it didnt kill my corals. If you can catch it out, of course you can cure it in separate tank, but for many cases no way you can catch it.
  7. I tried putting in my tank so many times already, it's ok with both fish and corals leh. As I have said, don't overdose. Just put 1/8 of the recommended amount. It indicated 1 drop for 2liters, so for my 600liter tank should put 300 drops. Normally I put only 30 drops.
  8. It's a live food rather than dead food which may deteriorate the water if overdose.
  9. Think u should get some more LR to stack ur coral higher.
  10. Have you use any medication which contain copper before?
  11. Yes.. it's safe. But dont follow the recommended amount. Else your whole tank will be blue. IMO, it isn't effective.
  12. Don't be mistaken by the black round thing. IT's the brineShrimp culture kit. I put it under the light so that hatched brine shrimp will swim to the center for collective. Yes. 24/7 light is needed.
  13. Tank size is 4x2x2.5. Phytoplankton is important for many corals. Culturing isn't diffuult, provided you have the culture kit. Using 1.5liter bottle. Prepare 1 liter bottle saltwater 1.02 salinity, fill another 400ml of phytoplankton, add 0.6ml of fert, blow slow bubble for 7 to 10 days 24/7 light With my current culture kit, I can culture 6x1.5liter 1 shot.
  14. I culture phytoplankton. So supply of food isn't an issue for me, even with skimmer on. I dose about 1 liter every 3 days. And I dont have direct water blowing at it. It collapse in the morning after no light.. and in the night with my MH.. it stand straight and talk with my MH and chiller. Think lighting is not an issue, but not sure if the cool water and phytoplankton plays apart. Phytoplankton is life food, so no worry it badly affect my water condition.
  15. Agreed. I started off with 13kg of lousy LR for $8/kg. Sold it off and get those LR from CoralFarm. Still impressive with the shape and coloration till now
  16. Is this the cauliflower u are talking about? I got 1 red one and a normal one in my tank. Read that it's very tough to keep, I also just start keeping it for 2 weeks. So far so good.. need constant supply of phytoplankton and waterflow. Light is not so much of a concern. http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Di...d=22&pCatId=644
  17. Think many LFs are selling uncured LRs, especially those full of dirt and macroalgae on it. They are curing it while selling it at the same time. So you can imagine how good the LR are being cured. Take my advise.. stick to the PC and respond immediately to anyone posting to selling LR. Even $8/kg is still worth it.
  18. Wow.. 2 big squamosa.. How much you bought it for?
  19. 4kg only. I would suggest u to buy some mushroom coral at $5 each.. Some of it already attached to a LR more than a kg already.
  20. Wait for some reefer selling their LRs. About the same or cheaper than the price you pay from LFs, and you are getting the cured LRs.
  21. I use tetra too. After changing water, NO3 is 25ppm, but 2 weeks later back to 100ppm again.. Later I removed all the bioball (white/dry system) and leave the bioRing since it's fully soak in water. Now No3 tend to maintain at 25ppm after twice 50% water change. What to replace bioball? I fill up with liverocks. Remember you LR must be fully soak in water.. so I put the LR in some container before putting in sump.
  22. It's ok, cookiemunster. I knew the pink you mentioned is nicer.. I saw it in a LFS behind reef world. It's in the display tank.. I love that one, just a small one cost $40. Actually I am looking for those type, but end up getting the rose.
  23. IS this the so-call Rose Anemone? Bought it from SL last week. Tend to be bubble tip, but the tomato keep disturbing it, so the tentacle grow longer already instead of bubble like.
