  1. Dead rock will eventually becomes live rock after some time.
  2. I still believe it's the effect of the nitrate minus solution. Last time I used AZ-NO3 before, also a nitrate reducer. It indicated that water will get cloudy from 3rd or 5th days onwards. It's normal and will get clear later. You also need an efficient skimmer too. Did you read carefully from the instruction about the amount dosing? AZ-NO3 also gives warning that coral will not bloom during this stress period, or may even die. Maybe that happen to your frogspawn. Last time after dosing, I observed that my hammer not opening well and leather shrink too. Ultimately all coral still survive. If your water gets clearly now, probably the cloudness is due to the nitrate minus. Not sure about the P04 minus effect.
  3. Ur blenny is looking around for girlfriend. Ego problem, wanted other fish to woo it.
  4. Point noted. Base on Alvy and cookiemunster, seems like I have make the right choice of getting a 1/2HP for my 600L tank when my friend actually recommended me a 1.25HP for longer lifespan.
  5. ICH, haunted me so long. IMO.. if the fish willing to eat, then there's hope. Feed brineSHrimp soak with garlieguard, even without ICH too as a precaution and build up an immune system for the fish.
  6. UR deduction do make sense. But I think u got me wrong. I am actually refering to the actual chiller estimated operation hours in the whole day 1/2HP, 400W is est 8hrs a day & 1HP, 800W, est 4hr of operation a day.
  7. I didnt calculate.. But should be 1 HP chiller is more than enough. Min 1/2 HP.
  8. If we take this example for instance 1/2HP, 400W, est 8hrs = 3.2KW 1HP, 800, est 4hr = 3.2KW The amount is similar. An underrated chiller will be shorter lifespan than an overrated chiller, am I right?
  9. U need to consider the risk of the live stock involved. Cheaper things tend to have higher profit margin, probably 500% profit, whereas some about 100% profit or less.. Do you believe me if the cost price of clam around $5-$8? When it is selling $20-$30.
  10. Heard very hard to make it eat. I bought 1 recently, refuse to eat in cage for 2 days. So I release it to tank to see whether it will help.. Still dont eat then up lorry loh.. Have u try cyclop food?
  11. Have this tiny snail for mths sticking on the cauliflower. Anyone know the name? Harmful or harmless?
  12. I watched this movie, a 2hr 15min show. Would say that you won't want to watch it again to see how torturing was carried out. It was like even to die, he need to dig his own grave. Read the file, size 211k The_Medical_View_Of_His_sufferings.pdf
  13. No way ML is worst LFs. Think most reefer will agree with me, he is one of the best. Eventhough his price is a little higher, but you pay for what you get.
  14. Dont know the name. But come across a similar one in ML. He told me it's not reef safe. It was sticking on a sponge seafan.
  15. $400 can buy 10 cans of tyres brand abalone already.. And you spend it for just a scallop
  16. I used to have 1 linka star, but was partially eaten. I suspect it's crab.
  17. I always hope to have such a tank of scaping with lots of swimming space. Good work!
  18. Blue tang and Yellow tang should go along well together. If u insist to keep purple, from my experience, the yellow tang will bully it. So I keep the new purple in cage for sometime then release. Now my yellow (3.5"), purple (2.5") and sohal (7") all friend friend... Think important part is still the size of ur tank, sufficient hiding spaces.
  19. Thanks for the info.. WIll try clementi since it closer.
  20. Hey.. i have lots of those white dot on my glass surface and some on LRs too, and I see it red baby coco worm.. But I dont have any coco worm in my tank.. wonder where it come from
