  7. why do u need to use a small pump to 'feed' the MD55? presume u are using those rubber flexible hose, u can actually use a funnel and pour water into it (at the inlet), once u see there is water up to the return end (the one which is vertical) then it should be sufficient. bend the end of the hose and the minute it enters the water, just release it and switch the power on. it should be running on its own.
  8. have one brand new set .... pm-ed you but no reply lei!
  9. my friend stays in a terrace just opposite bishan mrt, he used the non-PSB approved multi-plug just like the one shown in the picture. his whole room was caught fire due to that faulty plug which he used for his computer ...... after his sharing, our circle of friends all swtiched to PSB approved ones since then!

  13. thanks Bob, but presume that all eqpt are to start up at the same time (although unlikely) will that exceed??? As i have the impression that the start-up will usually consume higher power, i may be wrong ....
  14. running on a md40 .... lucky a kind reefer PM me on a good deal from a LFS .... honestly, was kinda sceptical about getting a resun and called up the Iwaki (S) to find out the iwaki MD40R ... was quoted $525!!!! madness .... anyway, bought a resun at less than 1/5 of the price, kinda quiet so far and not too hot, can safely place my palm on it without any problem.
  15. in the process of planning for a 2nd tank but worry about the power supply ... have 2 power points along the same stretch of wall so i guess these 2 points are definitely in parallel ... currently on one side of the wall .... have a chiller 450 watts, MH 150 watts, MD40 65 watts along with twin T5, some ehiems pumps ..... in the process, thought of using MH 250 watts, chiller 450 watts, MD 55 along with a tunze etc total wattage of these 2 power points would add up to about 2000 watts ...... any danger in overloading ???? any gurus can advise on this?
  16. ya i think break in liao ... very happy with its performance so far
