  2. bro though my nick is ultraman i dun have a ultra tank la...ahahahaha just a simple fowlr setup only Here's a LSW...........
  3. Chiller n lightings are the killing factor..............light heats up ur water and chiller has to work extra hard.
  4. Are you one of them???? For me I put off the idea of setting up a reef tank.
  5. Wanted to go for corals initially but dropped the whole damn idea when i saw the huge increase in electricity tariffs, nb
  6. U r always so helpful. If SRC has award for "THE MOST HELPFUL REEFER" I will surely vote for u...ahahahaha Actually the tuning is more or less the same as other skimmers and for a 1st time user like me, I do not have any problem to get it up n running so i guess anyone else will also be able to do it without much problem as well. And yes becketts are powerful skimmers and I am very satisfied with it. Within an hour of installation i can actually see a lot of bubbles collected in the cup, will try posting some pics tonight. Thanks for ur well wishes and if i really so lucky tio toto, 4d etc, i will definitely call u 1st. ahahahahaa..............anyway also want to wish u luck gd gd oso
  7. Guess it's always gd to try out instead of believeing in what others say. Cause in fish keeping there're no fixed rules cause everyone has different experience. Bro the previous owner was using a rio as well and no problem encountered. And I've actually checked with a few bros using rio as well and all gave me quite positive feedback. Sometimes i think is "heng suay" one, maybe suay suay buy one which is of inferior quality
  8. bro d sicce pump is doing great, it has no problem at all firing up the beckett.
  9. Ya they are actually gd for people with lower budget, like me
  10. Above to trade for a 5FT T5 with 8 tubes preferbly. Any bros interested kindly contact me. Thanks!
  11. haizzzz really headache man some bros told me can, others say cannot. Guess must try out to get the answer. Ya agree stocking n feeding plays a very important role.
  12. huh? rio20 can run the beckett sicce 5800 cannot meh? http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=50079
  13. RM Beckett skimmer..................will be powering with a Sicce 5800.................
  14. when i saw ur tank, i was like waaaaaaaaaa..................solid manzzzzz. i was busy admiring ur corals n fishes and did not even noticed wat equipment u hv ah..........hahaha
  15. yes i hv another compartment in the sump but not too big though. I've seen reefers floating them in the sump by using baskets? Is it workable? I am not too sure what shld i do with d spare tank, perhaps as what u suggested use it as top up tank. So actually ur fans are installed in the cabinet? Could u advise me how to set up the top up tank with kalk reactor? So u do not use any FR at all?
  16. walao bro u so helpful who dares to flame u? furthermore with ur size...............ahahahahaha hmm maybe u can try using chaeto as another option? Chaeto n rowa power together..........see can bring down the phos level down bo?
  17. hmmmm................will see how it goes.............don't want to end up killing all the corals and fouling up the water cause i believed my tank temperature will be quite high with all the pumps and lightings.
  18. I have been using HOPAR for quite sometime and so far so good. Touch wood ah...ahahahaha
  19. bro i go for simpler ones because i have simple pockets...ahahahahaha Currently i am using only tap water with salt mix. Not planning for corals so soon so i can slowly make water changes with DI water. Few months down the road all should become DI water liao. Below pic was my previous 4ft scaping and i actually liked it a lot. Hopefully i can maintain the same kind of scaping for the new setup.
  20. maybe other bros that uses this can give some comments as i've not tried personally. think price wise is higer as compared to HOPAR. Well if u hv d budget to go for better equipments will be gd, but for me i have to go for more affordable ones.....bo bian
