  1. Size is an issue for the sea hare. Urchins are great at cleaning up rocks.
  2. Water change the salt mix you use should correct the ph Kh. If you have chiller, temp should not matter as the chiller kicks in. If not, the water should be close to the room temp, which again I quite close to the tank water temp. Salt mix water should be mixed with air pump to stabilize ph. Tap water can be used but would have all the undesired elements in it like Phosphate= algae Silicate = diatoms Chlorine = bad for all living things.
  3. Marine life and aquamarin do carry them. Check for stock availability before heading down.
  4. Pick out as much as possible using pincers or fingers. Leaving them there will allow them to over run and spread. You could get some clean up crew like snails, crabs, urchins .... To control small outbreaks. Check your nitrate and phosphate levels. They are responsible for the algae blooms. Algae spores will always be around (even in the air), do making sure of nutrient levels is the only way to prevent blooms.
  5. If you are talking about top off water to maintain salinity, should be ok. Small amounts won't swing the parameters too far. Not suppose to add too much too fast anyway. Make sure it's distilled or ro/di water.
  6. Fish-street.com I have a piece that I have not tried out.
  7. I bet you mean CF... Not sure if they are fiji...Their rocks are of good shape and most importantly extremely porous. This will allow more bacteria to be housed.
  8. Just connect the red and black wire. It will work with just that two connection.
  9. Can get the fans at Sim Lim Tower. They are the 12v DC fans used for computer board cooling. Just have to make sure you buy the 12vDC version, correct size and correct thickness. Cost should be around $10 or less.
  10. Www.dama.com.sg Blk 3029A, Ubi Road 3, #01-98 & 01-99 Singapore 408661.
  11. Any peppermint shrimp spotted anywhere? Can't find them when I needed them....
  12. Tried dipping some zoas, super sun... Some not affected ( especially super sun ) while some take a few days to recover. You can also try to use a Syringe to target the affect portions of the rocks so that it doesn't get to the corals. Remember to make the polyps closed before the treatment.! Didn't dare to try it on the sps though. It's quite effective in killing the hair algea. The algea turns reddish after the treatment and dies.
  13. Saw alot of small ones at Coral farm yesterday.
  14. Bring the part down to Madpetz , pretty sure Ken will be able to provide a matching part
  15. Sure. But a good fixture with a good reflector makes a world of difference in intensity of the light beamed into your tank.
  16. Hi, got one 3.5 skimmer for sale. Bought last December, used for 3 months. Comes with everything, box, manuals.... Selling $80. Deal at Telok Blangah or can be arranged.
  17. The magnet will rust in saltwater. Better not
  18. Sponsor can sell commercially. Non... Cannot
  19. Dose only what you can measure, that's what they say. It's true, e.g if you have high magnesium from your salt mix and your ls is not depleting them, they may accumulate to non tolerable levels. For the first six months in my tank, ca has always been at levels of 500ppm and never drops. However with the recent addition of some sps colonies, ca have been dropping rapidly, forcing me to add ca supplement.
  20. Water condition for lps will suffice . But this is non photosynthic, so it will not make its own food and needs to be target feed.
  21. The RPPE and magicians are amazing! Thanks Bro Thairun!
  22. $30/kg live rocks is wayyyyy too ex bro. Premium ones are going at $16/kg only
