Leds need constant current power supply in iter for you to limit the current fed to the semiconductors. Out laptop power supply are constant voltage ...not current.

Exploring the possibilities to upgrade my 2ft-ish tank... I am looking at maximising the tank size without changing the lightset (6x 24w ATI sunpower). Would there be any compromise for a choice of 30" tank width rather than sticking to the standard 2ft? This will be an sps dominated tank.

Coraline growth starts to increase after about 2 weeks. Sps growth also but not as pronounce. Colors I can't tell if there is improvements. I only dose 2/5 of what is recommended as I read that it will cause some algae bloom. From my observations, there seems to be some correlation between some slight bryopsis bloom and dosing of the amino. Do watch out for this and slow dosing increment is important.
