Should rinse before use. Put them into the reactor and rinse thro with tap water. Let the dust flow out. Then pour the water out , set up the reactor and run outlet into filter bag. Thats how I do. Cheers

Montipora Eating Nudibranch
yellowtang replied to Zoid's topic in SPS and Advanced Reefkeepers Forum
Double Choy, this fish is sent from Heaven to help reefers like me. Its friendly to fellow fishes, adds colour to the tank and deadly to all pests. It swims around with the eyes darting about , ready to pounce on the evils. Just like mata kia cycling in the neighbourhood, looking for ah longs and litterers. cheers -
Thank you for all the interest. From here onwards, all calls to me will be under reservation, to be filled only if priority booking guy pulls out. Cheers, Mike.

Sorry Marshall, that i took so loooong to reply you. I Have been battling with hair algae, nudis, stn, rtn, amok fish , etc..... But reefing is shiok... Back to Sohal. I am very pleased with it. It doesnt feed on pallets or anything i put in. I dont know how it survives, but not only it does, its in the pink of health. Now and then , its on fighting mode, but my yellowtang is no pushover and gives as much as it can take. Do pay me a visit if you are on a western trip. Cheers,

Zico, sorry that i may traumatise you. A refugium sole purpose is to support the main tank. if you start to keep fishes or sea horses in it, you are compromising the benefit of having a refugium. Believe me, you will never stop at 3 sea horses if you start it. Dont make the same mistake as me. You can actually have nice sea plants in your refugium. And it provides a steady stream of live food for your animals in the main tank. Then again, every situation differs. Every reefer knows his interest best. You decide. Cheers and happy trading and happy reefing. mike
