  1. No, from Vanuatu . Forgot to mention tt I have a Telelabrus rubrovittatus too. A small one, bought yesterday but Mia today. Would they murder each other ? Thanks, Mike.
  2. Well done, Louis. My NO3 is 2 ppm due to dirty tank.... Sand and rock. Looks like need to engage your service for a one day make over job. Thanks in advance, Mike.
  3. Scary after reading this tread. I bought a Candy cane hog fish. Does it have the same temperament as peppermint? I also have a hoeven and leopard. Both are bigger size and long time residents. I intend to add a mystery wrasse too. Please advise as I am not a fish guy. Do note tt I have hiding space , caves..etc.. In my 4 footer. Thanks for the advice. Mike.
  4. Nice tank, Sunny. Long time no see Wilson's tank too. Cheers Yt
  5. The purple plasma and ice fire ichinata certainly wet ... Haha...
  6. All previous TOTQ & TOTM are deserving showcases. They are not winners in any competitions, but recognized passionate reefers with a tank to show and experience to share. This is my underlining belief and I have learned and benefited from these reefers. The organizers put in hard work to achieving this and I take the opportunity to thank them. Reefers should suggest with concrete ideas for areas of improvement and these are definitely welcome. To hint at other negative issues are counter productive and the time is better spent by doing tank maintenance or visit CoolGuy's wonderful Zoas kingdom Tank. My final parting shot: Chill and enjoy Reefing. Cheers YT.
  7. Very nice and colourful. Looks like National Day Parade with straight rows of gems in display. Very neat. Beautiful. Cheers, YT
  8. I like to try it too. Let me know where I can get it. Thanks YT
  9. " To open a can of worms", that's too strong and unnecessary opening statement . It's right to request change but wrong to hint that the previous selection is unethical . Respect the past winners for they are truly deserved to be crowned, Looking forward to a wider range of Reefing TOTQ winners. YT
  10. I second to the statement. Printed statement and actual composition need to be verified.printing like talking is cheap. Consistency and reliability are solely lacking in China made products. Responsibility is not a trait. This hobby is just too expensive to take a big risk for a small saving. Ever wonder why mainland Chinese prefer to buy milk in HK? It's my personal opinion based on real experience. Cheers, YT
  11. I want to win TO.... I want to win TOT.... I want to win TOTO TOTM comes with a jinx.... TOTO brings a family of Joy I want to win TOTO Best Regards, Ah Mike
  12. Beauties Of The Night... Queen Of The Night.... Visit them. ... YT
  13. Changes.. Changes... The Reefers want Changes..... East to West.... North to South.... Arab Spring.... Reformasi ... Workers Party ...Hammer firmly pound down the ground...Earth shattered..Cracks of Change. unstoppable.. Reefers want a change of TOTQ.. They want to see and hear a winner talking about challenges of keeping various soft corals, the placement of zoas and how to feed them. They are sick of stn, rtn. They want acans , Prata, blastos, cloves, clams etc... and their successful keeping and farming.. They are tired of 5 footer, 6 footer winner. They want 2 footer beauty, at most 3 footer classic winner. Winner that keeps the animals that they can relate to. The wind of change is blowing, Larry. Put up your mast, and ride the current. Go with the wind... The wind of change... bigmike.
  14. My previously discarded and left at a corner Monti has blossomed into a radiant purple beauty. May I introduce Ms Purple Haze... Now its the centrefold of my tank. Cheerz, Mike.
  15. Hi Kelvin, the joy is really keep what you fancy, limit to lps. Sps is out for you at the moment, unless of course its foc.,so you can try out without $$ pain. Talking about foc, you can have free monti from me. Earliest of the sps. Do consult Coolguy, look at his tank in Iwarna, totally inspiring , colourful and so alive. He has blastos, acans, zoas, chalice, cloves amongst others and i believe these will do well in your rock scape, water quality withstanding. Happy Reefing, YT
  16. To advocate and endorse using tap water in salt water mixed for reef tank is definitely the wrong direction and ill advice for new reefers. Tap water condition differs in different location in Singapore. Advanced and seniors reefers have the experience and the ability to rectify the situation if something goes wrong in the tank. Reefers have different reef tanks that require different water quality. To have countless problems related to water condition and fail when starting a reefing hobby can be very demoralising and unnecessary. So do it right the first time. Rgds, mike
  17. I would quickly siphon them off. Reminds me of bad bacterial attack. Just my experience from acans and blastos, though it's not necessarily the same. Mike.
  18. Mystery wrasse @$100 is a steal, Do not hesitate. Mike.
  19. I want 1 piece tear drop. Thanks, Mike.
  20. I take the opportunity to change some LR as they provide a new scape and revitalise the existing bacterial tank condition. The old LR would be choked up by coralline algae and dirt and its not easy to rid them. It's like getting a new gf. Haha... Just my opinion. Cheers
  21. You can have Mohawk Zoas with. Compliments from me. Mike/8201 0133.
