  2. Is there a place in Singapore to put fish back to sea? Fish such as clownfish, damsels, tang etc I mean if your tang get too big have to put back to sea right?
  3. marinedepotlive.com list 3 categories, one is colour one which can have red/yellow/orange, the one at harl* selling at $85. The second cat is the brown hairy type which is common, saw one at sea l* (selling $10) and also at har*. The third type is what I am looking, the whartskin type, mainly white in colour. I saw this in har* quaranteen tank but it belongs to lfs's friend and not for sale. Have anyone seen any?
  4. I just started looking at angler. If I am not wrong their colour will change to suit the surrounding...camouflage to catch their prey... it will change to yellow of the lr of purple/red of coraline algae... i think this should be the reason and some more it is eating... where do you get yours? how much?
  5. Is the one you see in Harlequ*in whartskin type ? Whartskin Frogfish But $85 is very ex leh...
  6. I understand frogfish can eat fish as big as his size. Have you try putting in bigger fish? Where do you get yours for $8 bucks? I called Harle* last night and the guy quoted $85. What is the tankmates for your frogfish? Intend to get one to put in my 1 lionfish only tank. But afraid the frogfish might eat the lionfish.
  7. Are you talking about putting a valve inline with your sump pump to main tank, to stop water from siphoning back to your sump? I was thinking of adding one too but change my mind and go with the easier method: drill a small hole at the end of the pipe at main tank end. When there is a power failure, the small hole will break the siphon.
  8. - S*a L*fe Yes/No ? - R*born Yes/No? - Marin* Lif* (H*ng L*ong) Yes/No? - LCK 11* Yes/No? - Wat*rCircl* Yes/No? - Par*diz Re*f Yes/No? - T9* Yes/No? - Harl*q*in Yes/No? - C*ral F*rm Yes/No? - others?
  9. OK this is the one I have in mind and thing of getting... cute one...not the deep sea one as in nemo movie...
  10. Any one has any picture of it..? Want to confirm how it looks like. Thanks Anyone keep an angler with a clown trigger or a lionfish? Thanks
  11. I always think fixing anemone is like tie them up...like in prison... i would let them choose where they like... let them choose the area they would want to stick to... then use little force to adjust them to nearby position of your wanting...
  12. All my $ in reef now no $ for flat tv. Maybe want to evaluate LCOS technology on top of plasma or LCD? We should see LCOS TV in 2004. A 42" size LCOS is about S$6000-S$8000 instead of over S$10,000. I am aiming for HDTV ready one. That means in 1280 x 768 resolution. 16x9 aspect wide ratio. DVI as well as component input terminal.
  13. If the one you see is the one I see: the one selling in Reb*rn is not concentrated sea water. It is deep sea water that is collected from sea level that is more than 200m. The label says sea water at that level is rich in trace elements. You add a portion of it to your tank to introduce trace elements, not to produce sea water. Change the salt brand if you not happy how it dissolves, some brand are good at dissolving...if it is your prefered brand of salt: 1. use air pump to circulate the water overnight 2. use RO/DI water which is a good solvent.
  14. Any regular users of AZNO3 can give comments? Effective? Side effect? Thanks
  15. If you view part 2 and 3 as one movie then you would feel better about part 2
  16. I think only Lido 1 is good one. For GV you can try GV Grand Theatre 6 which is quite big (the hall is big so I buy quite near the screen). Or Cineleisure thertre 3 and 5. I watched the second one on IMAX screen and its in square aspect ratio. Not the original wide screen aspect ratio. If you want the original wide screen aspect ratio, choose a non IMAX screen to watch better. If it is good, I will watch it again and in IMAX. The program set it up this way as a control measures. This is the way the machines control those who wake up.
  17. Are you using Artica/Fish Cooler chiller? My Fish Cooler is set to 26. I only set this desired temperature, no other setting. You can see from meter the reading goes down 27.1, 27.0, 26.9.......until it reaches about 25.6 and then it stops. When the temperature go up to about 26.6 the cooler starts again. It auto start/stop +- 1 degree of the set temperature.

  19. There is no one sure way whether you need skimmer, you need to over skim or you can not under skim. Different people have different opinion. Some say go for the highest you can afford. Some expert tank are run successfully without skimmer. In term of price, your next up choice is Weipro, then it is AquaC hangon type.
  20. Selling because I intend to replace it with Tunze one to have electronic controls such as different wave pattern, feed time etc.
  21. Yes the Fish Cooler brand is by Dail Ice Korea. It is OEM for Artica according to salesperson. The look and build is the same except for logo off course. The manual looks over 90% the same as the one from Artica website, down to details such as example setup tank pictures etc. The model number such as DBA-200 is same between Artica and Fish Cooler. Even the pictures of brochure for both of them the same . I bought the 1/4 HP unit which is about $400 cheaper than Artica one. It is running now for my tank, temperature difference so far is +- 1 degree C. It is quiet and looks nice. So far happy.
  22. You can not use pvc pipe. Buy those flexible plastic hose type and use a clamp to tighten it.
