  1. Most coral food needs to be refrigerated because they contain live plankton. Anyway, the containers are all air tight so you don't have to worry about mixing with your own food due to evaporation.
  2. I removed all my coral chips from my sump after running my tank for 6 mths. Remove a bit at a time like during your water changes. Replaced with more LR.
  3. One of the guys here got the Solaris. Maybe you should ask him how it is. Solaris
  4. Looks like those worms that we use to go deep sea fishing
  5. Most of the fishes are in the sashimi and sushi restaurants Just enjoy your holiday You can visit the Tsujiki fish market. Lots of live seafood for sale. Don't know how you going to bring them back.
  6. For suck-ing in air to aerate the water. For marine, you don't need to use that function else you'll get salt spray all over your tank. Just submerge the whole thing in your tank and that part becomes useless.
  7. You can add rubber gaskets to prevent leakage. I'm using them on the connectors for my tank.
  8. Maybe the bottom piece is counted as 1 plane?
  9. When my mussels were dying, I noticed that my fishes were having a good makan picking out the meat from the shells. Nitrate level spiked, but not that high considering a lot of decaying was going on. Around 20ppm using Tropic Marin test kit.
  10. All my mussels died. So no seafood dinner
  11. Same size as my PBT, both are slightly smaller than my YT. BT around 4" YT around 4" PBT and PT around 3.5"
  12. Recently nuked 2 aiptisia with lemon juice
  13. My powder blue and yellow tang gang up to bully my purple tang But they leave my blue tang alone
  14. I think it depends on the size of your shrimps compared to the long nose hawk fish. I bought a long nose hawk fish recently. After that my se-xy shrimps disappeared 1 by 1. But my cleaner and boxing shrimps still around, since they are the same size as the hawk fish.
  15. I think you should have at least 2 wavemakers for this tank.
  16. I noticed that my tangs won't eat the seaweed if its in big pieces. You have to chop it into small bits and mix with Henry or your own fish food, then they will eat.
  17. Some people partition their sump with a refugium, implement a Deep Sand Bed for more biological filtering. So can't really tell you what is best to put into your sump. For me, I put in LR and cheato. Maybe you can take a photo of your sump and post it here then the people here can give you advice.
  18. I think the amount is in USD. You probably need to convert to SGD, multiply by 1.52 (exchange rate).
  19. I think bio home more for freshwater tank. Coral chip and bio balls not advisable as they become nitrate source later on.
  20. When I started my tank, I used tap water to fill directly. Add in anti-chlorine and let it run for a few days. Then add in salt and let it run for a few more days for the water to clear up. Then you can either add in LR or prawn meat to cycle the tank and build up your bacteria. Advisable to connect a FR to remove phosphates, etc.
  21. I only link my UV and FR. Link too many and you lose flow rate.
  22. Roughly 2 meters including some flexible hoses. Vertical height around 1.5-1.6m.
  23. I use Eheim 1262 to pump from sump thru chiller then to main tank. I'm using Resun 650 chiller.
