  1. LCK201 at Neo Tiew Crescent. Not really a farm, but they have reasonable range of marine LS.
  2. $9 is quite a good price. Even CF sells cleaner shrimp $12 for mid size. You can add abalone for green slime algae control. For hair algae, only sea hare will eat those. Both you can get at ML.
  3. How far from your MH is the hammer? Maybe the light is too strong. Your Alk is on high side, should aim for 8.2-8.3. You just bought the hammer or its already in your tank for quite some time?
  4. For aiptasia, you should get seagrass filefish. Normally, ML will bring in. I'm also looking for it. Got big aiptasia growing on the back of my LR
  5. My seems to be those short tentacle type... full extension maybe 1/2 inch Anyway, my questions have been answered in another forum.
  6. Maybe you can look at this for samples of nano tank scaping.
  7. I guess when you have a lot of left over food, the startfish will prefer to eat those. Its when it starts to get hungry, it may decide to snack on your corals.
  8. Starve it for 1 wk then feed pellets. Clownfishes are easy to adapt to pellets.
  9. Looks like mushrooms, should be ok without chiller.
  10. I had this torch coral for 1-2 mths already and was doing well until recently. Noticed that 1 of the heads already dead and another head beside is now melting away These 2 heads are facing the the back so I didn't notice it until now. Recently tested my water parameters 3 days ago and all are ok except Mg 1180 and PO4 0.25. But the rest of my corals and fishes are still doing well. I'm not sure if this is due to my wave maker flow blowing at it. Anyway, I have adjusted my Hydor to blow the water away from this Torch coral. Anybody got any idea what could be the cause?
  11. Which model of Hydor wavemaker did you buy? Because they have smaller size for small tanks. If you bought the larger model then its too strong for your tank.
  12. Damn! I just bought for $28 from AM 2 wks ago
  13. AM has quite number of clams presently.
  14. Sometimes the star polyps take some time to accustom to your tank and won't open for days.
  15. Your tank probably mature faster than others. Maybe you have good husbandry skills
  16. It just means that your tank is stable and good. Mandarin fish will keep them under control if you don't like to see them.
  17. Try placing your suns further away or another safer location and monitor.
  18. I'm not sure why they sometimes close up and refuse to open for days. I had black suns that were doing ok until I place a torch coral nearby. I thought the distance was far enough but the black suns seem to disagree. After a few days, the side nearest the torch refused to open even when feeding. In the end I had to move the suns to another location. And they gradually start to open again. So check if you have placed them too near to other aggressive corals like torch, bubble, hammers, etc which can extend long tentacles at night.
  19. You referring to Harlequin? Its closed, but another marine shop opened in its place, got no name on the shop front though... maybe can call it No Signboard Marine for the time being
  20. If you don't want that LR, you can sell it. Maybe someone will buy it from you. To kill it? Just take the rock out of the water and scrub everything off.
  21. Did you acclimatise it properly before putting into your tank?
  22. Should be. Cheatos are not that light demanding. At most it'll grow slower
