  1. I ever asked the GO owner about those nudis. He said they eat flatworms which are the pests on corals.
  2. I have a monti cap which I got from a fellow reefer some time ago. Recently, it started to bleach from centre portion. I have no idea what is the cause. Water parameters are stable and don't see any nudi's. Coral was doing well for past 4-5 mths until this happened...
  3. Irwana still have red pratas... much less than 2 blue notes now.
  4. Went down to Ah beng's today. The rhizo's are in the big tank on your left as you walk in. Size is around 2" with some pink, some brownish/green pink tentacles. There were 5 pcs there. After I left, there were 4...
  5. Great, I can't remember who bought which fishes... Glad to know its still alive and kicking
  6. Try running a UV steralizer. It helps to bring ich under control.
  7. The patent is only enforceable in USA. Manufacturers like China, Taiwanese, Japanese, European makers can still build and sell LED lighting for aquariums to the rest of the world.
  8. For 1st timer its ok. But gets boring after a while if you are the restless kind. Better go toilet first before boarding, else you will be stuck in the air for 30 min
  9. Could be water parameters or lighting.
  10. Lemonlemon, You seem to be adding a lot of corals and LS in a very short time. Better to let your tank slowly stabilize first, else you might end up with a crash later.
  11. Probably due to damage while shipping or stress.
  12. Yeah, they will float around. Sometimes end up eaten and spat out by my anemone or super suns. Then they probably end up in some dead zone and start growing like weeds
  13. This would be good like when I go for vacation and need to dose zooplankton, phytoplankton and mysis for the finicky eaters.
  14. I usually gather up these loose polyps and superglue them to a small LR. Can use for frags
  15. Use a sharp knife to cut the byssal threads. Make sure you don't tear the byssal gland. When the clam is at the new location, it will lay down new threads again.
  16. You also need to maintain your Mg at 1400ppm for coralline growth. It needs Mg too.

Is it possible to switch to M3 or M4 size? The machining cost will also be cheaper, since those are more standard thread sizes.
  18. Give them some time... probably new environment they start to establish territory again. The bigger one should be the female.
  19. You can lower the Ca by doing water change. There is nothing much in the LR to consume the Ca, unless you have some coralline algae on it.
  20. Please check the expiry date of your test kit. Last time I went to C328 to buy NO3 test kit, the uncle handed me an expired kit. Ended up I did not buy.
  21. Its not a given... place them and observe if there is any negative reaction. Mushrooms tend to expand alot and will block out other corals like zoas from light. End up your zoas die because they don't get enough light.
  22. Some corals don't sting so can pack them. Those with sweeper tentacles like bubble, torch, hammer are quite aggressive so should be placed further away from other corals.
