  1. Not only angels can go siao. My blue tang suddenly has taken a liking to my supersun. Now I have to quarantine my supersun in a betta box
  2. Brian, I would suggest that over time you can remove the ceramic rings and coral chips from your sump and put in LR instead. This will save you the effort to replace ceramic rings. The 2nd compartment can be converted into a refugium also with cheato.
  3. I'm still thinking whether to get the blotchy anthias at Reborn. They still have and still 6 red notes? Anywhere else have?
  4. In addition have some cheato to sell... $2 for slightly larger than fist size
  5. Have the following loose frags for sale: 1) Indo green zoas -$5 2) Common red zoas -$3 3) Green yuma -$15 4) Palythoa - $2 Interested buyers please PM me and bring your own plastic bags. I ran out of bags after the last frag sale
  6. Your skimmer will pull out most of the organic matter.

    LED Panel

Interesting DIY LED project on reefcentral. Click here.
  8. My PO4 levels still low. But then I don't feed so much frozen mysis. More on pellets and Henry food. Frozen mysis is more like 'fast food' for my fish when I don't have time to feed them slowly
  9. I do that all the time. No problems.
  10. Hi SM, 1. I'm running a 90 gallon tank. Its 3x2x2' size. 2. Noted on the material. I guess if its teflon then getting algae to stick could be a problem. I'm going to moniter it for a week and will change it to another material if algae doesn't take hold. 3. The sock does help in preventing excessive splashing. I do agree that algae growth on the sock could be a big problem later on. 4. Looking for a brighter light
  11. A clean slate... Day 0 Currently my PO4 is around 0.05ppm and NO3 is 20ppm. I think my NO3 reading is wrong as I switched to Red Sea test kit recently. I used to get <0.01ppm on Tropic Marin test kit
  12. Here is a full sump shot. As you can see, not much space for anything. My FR and skimmer are all in-sump due to leaking accidents previously. I may probably change the light to a higher wattage bulb. I'm currently running a 7W energy saving bulb on a reverse 12hr photo period. My cheato is growing but slowly.
  13. Was wondering how to incorporate the vertical scrubber design into my sump as I don't have much space so kept delaying this project. But after seeing johntanjm's simple solution with the scrubber lying on its side, I've decided to copy the same idea and save myself a lot of headache Thanks John for the simple idea I bought this plastic chopping board. By itself the surface is manufactured rough, so I don't need to sandpaper it. I'm too lazy to seed it with algae so its starting from scratch. I would like to see how long the algae starts to get a hold on it. The only disadvantage is that I'm not able to use both sides of the board to maximise algae growth. I removed my filter box and replaced my wool filters with the mesh sock. The water from the overflow falls through the filter sock and directly onto the chopping board. Of course the water coverage isn't great, but lets see how it goes. I'm getting around 3/4 of the board covered by flowing water. The board rests on one of the glass dividers (higher end) and the other side rests on some LR
  14. Just to let you know that the male will be very weak after the babies hatch because he did not eat for a couple of weeks. Mine died after a few births So make sure you feed him a lot after the birth.
  15. They should eat rotifers.
  16. Don't be so desperado... go Geylang a lot more better things to see
  17. If you have the space, get a 2ft sump and put in a protein skimmer. It will be much better than a cannister filter.
  18. Stop watching online po.rn in front of your fish tank
  19. I use the cheapo China made auto feeder. Can last for 2 weeks based on my feeding amount 4x/day. For branded auto feeders, 1 week should not be an issue.
  20. Saw an AT in CF last week, but its quite large. Around 5".
  21. Yeah saw it at CF last week... so its still there. Probably its THIS. Can grow to 40cm... thats quite huge
