I bought 2 of these however very reluctantly have to sell 1 of them because the other one refuse to let this guy eat, so no choice. Everytime I feed he will chase this guy away from the food. If not for feeding they are ok together. If you want a butterfly that is not yellow this is the one to get. Letting go at $15. Size is 3 - 3.5 inch with a deeper colouration than my other one. Paya Lebar branch is open already. Went down today, the fishes that I am looking for were gone. OK so who is the lucky guy who bought the nice wrasses like C Rubrimarginatus and C tonozukai and butterflyfishes like C Selene and C Semeion? Flame angel Ah Beng got a few. Also saw a ear spot angel there. Lots of fishes Those of you interested in butterflies, Ah Beng got quite a lot, Copperband, moorish idols, 2 4-5 inch black pyramid(H zoster), teardrop(C unimaculatus), 2 chevron(C. trifascialis) - very hard to survive and aggrseive, triangular(c. triangulum) or Eastern Triagle(C. Baronesa) - not sure which, both can't survive in capritvity so didn't look closely, Ornate ( C. ornatissimus) - also almost no chance to live in captivity Meyer's (C. Meyeri) - also almost no chance to live in captivity blackback(C melannotus) Pacific red Fin (C lunulatus)- also almost no chance to live in captivity Racoon(Lunula) Saddled(C ephiphium) 1 indian vagabond(C decussatus) Some other common butts... like threadfin, double saddle and the false version...... Note : Most the fishes in there are flashing, suspect got ick Pacific Marine got pacific red fin, common ones as well saddled Spotted(chaetodon guttatissimus) - tough to no chance also

Went to Aquamarin TK last night. Basically almost all the tanks empty. Got a few purple tangs that's all I can remember. Think they just got a shipment but wasn't in yet.

Dosed cupramine today. Does anyone know if you can dose paraguard at the same time? Search all over the island for salifert Cu test kit but couldn't find. Finally have to settle for red sea test kit. Is it reliable? Anyone use this please give some feedback thanks. After dosing the correct amount according to the bottle when I test for Cu 6 hours later it is only showing 0.1 ppm on the red sea test kit. Could it be that it is absorded somewhere? I turned my skimmer off all this while. Got live rocks and sand in the tank. Thanks again

Just check web page of seachem. It says that it is recommended to run the skimmer with the treatment

DO you have live rocks in your tank? Will all the inverts that grow in it die and pollute the water? My problem is that I won't be around and so can't monitor water quality.

Thanks guys for the reply. Yes my tank is FOWLR. Velvet actually started last week, I treated with Preis Cryptan in a quarantine tank then was ok, lost 1 racoon butterfly in the process. Regal and Golden was fine, however now I suspect the golden got a bit again. Regal looks healthy and eating well. Because I am travelling I got no choice but to put them all back into display tank. Too many for my maid to feed. ANd also bigger water system is more stable. I am also nursing the yellowhead buttefly to feed. Today he pecked a bit of my own food mixture. Golden, pakistani and yellowhead all got a bit of fin rot. Does the copper level drop over time, that's why you have to keep dosing? I have lowered the salinity to around 18ppt. I think any lower the skimer probably wouldn't work. Thought I try cupramine since so many reefers got so much success with it. Only concern is that when I dose this all the stuff in the live rocks will die, polluting the water in the process.

According to the sea chem web page, if you use cupramine, then do not use UV and skimmer. Wouldn't the water quality go bad like this? This is by far the biggest dillema that I have. Dose to treat the fish but water quality go bad which will in turn be counter productive to the whole treatment. What do you guys do?

Guys, I desperately need help right now. 1st time I have experienced white spots & velvet. After spending most of my last 3 weeks coaxing some of my fishes to take pellet and flake now I have this problem. I managed to get my Regal and butterflies to eat pellet and flake. Now all my butterflies got a bit of white spot or velvet. I believe this is because when I quarantine them the water conditions were not good enough. My mistake. I am thiking of using Cupramine, problem is I am going overseas for 6 days, wife also travelling so left with the maid at home. Also with Cupramine can you run the skimmer? Last I tried all the dosing stuff gets skimmed off. And the skimmer gets stained as well. As I am not going to be around I can't do water change. Can't make my maid to do as well as she is looking after my little girl. I really have a big problem that I don't know how to solve. Would appreciate if anyone with such experience before can help me out. Am desperate. I don't want to loose my Regal, golden, yellow head and pakistani butterflies. Please help Thanks

Just out of curiousity, if you run through your chiller 1st then into your tank wouldn't the flow rate be too high for the chiller to effectively cool the water? What I am trying to say is that the water is not cool down to the required temp but already pump out of the chiller because of the high flow rate. If it this happens then your chiller will be running on for longer to recycle all that water again than if the flow rate were slower to cool the same amount of water. Just a thought........

Hi everyone, I have 2 Billy bookcase with glass doors to sell. They are used, condition still very good about 95% new with no scratches at the front and on the glass. A bit of scratch marks at the side because of the 2 cupboards rubbing against each other during arrangement. Once you put it against the wall between cabinets you cant see it anymore. Colour Cherry, no longer in production. I took the shelves out and placed them at the bottom because the cupboard is empty. Kepping the CG low for stability. Asking for $120 each.
