  6. Its truly a wonder to watch the perpetual motion. I wonder how much food is required to keep the sardines in motion.

  8. This was a visually engaging tank as the Sardines (Sardinops melanostictus) were in constant motion swimming around the rock outcrop.....

  20. Another pic of the Kelp Forest tank. U can clearly see that this tank is two stories high and the floor is sloping as u walk down and around the building viewing the exhibits.
  21. Another view of the huge acrylic window at the Pacific Ocean display. The tanks used in the aquarium are made of 314 tonnes of acrylic glass - roughly 1.5 times the world's annual production. The largest single pane measures six meters by five meters by thirty centimeters and weighs roughly 10 tons. At the thicknesses used, regular glass would not only be unwieldy, but would not have a desirable amount of transparency.
