ich are too small to be seen. By the time you see them, means are spreaded alot, maybe hundreds, maybe thousands. Search the internet "Ich", "white spot", read 6-7 sites will let you know roughly what happened. Other fish no sign yet doesnt mean dont have ich. Wait for another 2-3 weeks, all will be infected and later all go up big lorry container. Is this the same tank that your tank has flatworms? If yes, I will sell all the fish and cycle this tank for 2 months. Later add few six line wrasse to clean the flat worms. I have an enquiry. Where did you buy those flat worms and ich? Did you notice that you also buy any slug and mantis? You need to check too.

there are lots of issues on 14k mh. Thats why I still not changing mine. Just too afraid.
-
I agree too. I like to add the six line wrasse since long ago but every each time I think of this monkey fish, I give up. But I think Bubber has no choice as he had screwed up. Well, he has to patience by letting this wrasse clean the tank for one year then all maybe ok and he can fry this fish. LOL. Thinking of one year, hahaha!

finished eating one liao? one whole clam?
-
rocky, not neccessary same for everyone. case by case different. bubber, it is ich. do more reading on the internet. you use eye to look ich? wow super eye, LOL. you didnt proper quarantine so this is the result. i hope the guy who bought your tang will be quarantined or else he will be doom. get infos from internet before do anything.

Klim, I think you have learned what you needed. Dangling here again will not learn anything. Just go ahead with what you want.

Anyone can recommend a return Pump with low watts

agree the cheap pump will not be expected quality but what you pay is what you get. Just get a bigger pump will do the compensation and still cheaper. I dont agree rio will fail in short time. Mine and a friend had been 4 years still OK. Well if klim still not satisfy with the 2500l/hr, then upgrade to 4000l/hr or 6000l/hr. If no money buy cheap pump. If have money buy good pump. Everything is straight forward. I dont think further advise is needed here. Klim, why dont you survey what you want and then check for the pump price in LFS. Its better that way than wasting your time here dangling. -
i dont think so. always manage to find wherever, whatever and whenever. LOL.

so you can collect earlier can buy. Beware he will poke you with his devil spear.

try to change the light to 10k

I have seen this many years on an article on the website. It is a kind of parasite. It will grow fast and some are corals killer while some kills fish. Well, as what I know you have no remedy but to manually clean it out.
-
ich wont die when sticking to the fish. The fish slime still protects it. Hypo will kill most ich while they free swimming in tank, still looking for host. search the internet. you have to show the quarantine tank and daily step by step procedure & measurements taken. Something must be wrong. According to your statement, blue tang over one year and now in quarantine tank has ich? Very confusing. the other tangs are new and free from ich? How sure is that?

I usually dislike artficial glues. I use to put them on a rock and maintain that they dont topple. After few days, it will stick by itself

most hardware shop sells but before you buy, must know the right thing to buy.

Anyone can recommend a return Pump with low watts

bro, he is not connecting the pump to the skimmer. e is talking about chiller, LOL. The skimmer has its own pump and is separate from this issue. If you worried about the skimmer not able to pickup the dirts, then it is wrong. The skimmer didnt pick up is because the design is not good and the bubble is not efficient. The outlet is advise to have more than 1 outlet so should be solved. Skimmer is using 2000l/hr pump is ok. but Klim had tried with his 1500l/hr which is only a bit lesser than 2000l/hr for his flowback and already failure. This means 2000l/hr pump is still a failure because it increases only 300l/hr extra after the back pressure. Pls check the charts for pumps. You will be shocked how much the flow drop/feet. I noticed about the charts because I am very familiar with pumps. Im 17 years maintenance, service and project engineer in engrg. -
there is 2 different things we have to observe. Pressure and Flow are two different things but linked to each others. Best is to see the pump's chart before proceeding to buy. I always survey before buying. the 3000l/h with a 2m max head is a higher pressure pump and not neccesary will have higher flow than the 3500l/hr with 1.2m max head. It depends on the both pump characteristics base on height and length so the pumps' charts will tell you everything. If the length is 1 feet, the 3500l/hr pump will definitely perform better.

2 pumps for return. good investment in case anything happens, you will still have the time to delay a bit. I did think of installing the chiller taking water from tank and flow back to sump. The problem I didnt do it because the dirts from the tank will stuck in the chiller's coil. So I have to frequent flush the chiller which I hate most. Some dirts are stubborn and even flushing will not get them out. I did think of chiller taking water from 1st compartment and release to last compartment. The problem is I dont want the sudden cool water to be release to the main tank with corals. So decided chiller take water from last compartment and release to the first compartment.

well, i disagree with ian at his points. we cannot compare skimmer's pump. Some people may have big or very small skimmer. klim has tried with a 1500 l/hr pump and is a failure. klim pipe is 2 meter high so the pump flow will decrease tremendously due to backflow. I have a 8000 l/hr pump with pipe at height 1.5metre and The flow is still not so strong. I still have to place three seio pumps to satisfy the flow. 3 seio because 5 ft tank. klim tank definitely needs at leat 4000 l/hr pump and It will benefit a biological sump. If the sump has nothing, better use 2500 l/hr. but a sump without biological filter basically wont enhance bacteria filtering and only let you to add additives. Usually the outlet at main tank is more than one. Not advise to limit to only one. Have to admit one outlet is too much of a pressure concentrated on one single place is bad. BTW this marine so its high flow and it is better to have good flow in the sump to prevent dead spots. Klim, hailea pump can be place outside of water to reduce heat. Only thing is 200W is high electricity bill. I have a hailea pump 2540 just for my chiller and not flow to tank. -

Just look out on your smaller bro. -
Lai liu har actually got the name this way because when the chef takes it out, it will urine like baby, LOL. Why such an agrgessive thing will urine like baby, LOL. Revenge? Later when some reefer sell a coral with mantis, they will revenge you first. LOL. Better keep them away, peace. That makes my life better. Some people keep ants for pets! Yikes.
-
your tank is full of creeps like mine. Only thing the background dark so even more creepy haunted. My tank is very lighted up so not haunted. But it creeps me out that some live stocks come out after few years missing. And then they went missing again, like hide and seek for few years.

It depends on what pump you want. If out of water pump, it will be more expensive. Not less to say a high flow with low wattage, it will drain out not only your pocket but your wallet too. Unless you have tons in the bank, LOL. Summersible pump are cheaper but will increase heat and chiller's electricity bill will be higher. Even the 6550 will not have enough flow if your tank is 2 meter high. But you can use this for pumping water for biological sump. You have to buy some pumps (eg: seio, tunze,..) in your main tank to have good flow. -
I use a 8000 liter pump to flow from my sump to my tank. Flow rate seems ok but not considered strong because I had separate out to 9 outlets in the tank. Considered you using a chiller, I advise dont do it this way. You will damage the chiller joints internally and will leak after sometime. Why dont use the rule: inlet and outlet of chiller back to sump? My tank height is 1.5 meter and the joints are added to 1 meter plus on each side horizontally. Your pump had to pump 2 meter high so the back pressure will force your chiller to leak after certain time. 400gal/hr pump sure like child's pee. It is not even suitable for your chiller when its 1 feet length. 1 feet length uses at least 600gal/hr pump. Moreover yours is vertical 2 meter! You need a big flow pump but will destroy your chiller coil. Chiller are not design to take load of vertical back pressure of such height. Pls survey your chiller datasheet and you will understand.
