alage doesnt 100% build up the immune system agaist itch. Its like human, you need all source of proteins, vitamins and minerals. So different foods will cater different goodies. I will not worry there is not enough algae to graze. Algaes will grow faster rate than fishes consumption in a closed tank loop. There is some pellets mixed with algaes but depends on individual fishes. Some ok some ignore this food. Its like other pets like dog, you feed them everyday meat, they will not eat dry food anymore and will rather starve. You cant force them to eat what and not to eat what. You want to take them out from those LR and cane them? Then talk fish language, LOL. They will be more puzzled and some will be more stressed up with you around. You see now you waste the money on this seaweed, LOL@mopiko. Dont need to care so much on them la. Just feed them pellets and frozen mysis. Best if you can train them eat pellets, this will make your life easier. Every brands of pellets has different taste and noticed some brands are favorite and some are ignored by fishes.

BTW when I saw a demo of peppermint eating aips, seems not very clean. Some drop down. I am worry when these shrimps are full, they will ignore the tiny bits which had dropped off and these will grow out back to Aips.

BTW if there is any silicone that can dry immediately, it will be highly demanded in all industry. In Engineering, there is no immediate dry silicone yet.

yeah, partition. But what if the end sides? Partitions leaks, nobody cares la. Only the sides leaks, then we all headache. furthermore partitions are not tight to glass. If tight, just nice no allowance, you will crack the glass. If you can easily cut that sides, I will bring over my 2 ft tank to you and see how you cut that, ok? Im now trying to cut off that to diy tank size. lastly, all the tank makers worker also tell me that impossible to cut out the tank side glass except you break some of it first.

If you refer to internet, some figures are based on colder environment. This is Singapore, a hot country. The chiller companies are set-up to make money so... be careful when you see their specifications. It also depends on your room temp, bla bla,... refer to other sites in this forum. many had sized wrongly and ended up to buy again.

Skimmer is advised. Live Rocks 1kg/gallon minimum is advised too. Both are different functions. If no skimmer, Live Rock cant help you to get rid of those proteins. Only carbon will but they get rid of minerals and vitamins too. Better to read more on the internet as the professionals there will have better accurate informations.

you must transfer them to another tank. Must start rotifier and baby bine shrimp factory. If too much work, buy from LFS. The details can be found in internet.

the smaller the tangs, the harder to keep. Especially those tiny 1 inch type. But I always like to keep those and always success. At first, many years ago, I had wasted 30-40 tiny tangs during quarantine because they are too sensitive and stupid. Nowadays, it is OK. blue tang is also dory, regal,.. more known as blue tang and regal tang. It depends on individual on what algae they prefer. I usually wont train them to eat algae. I also wont feed them special gourmet. I just feed them frozen mysis and sometimes brine shrimp. Just dont want to waste time giving special food. BTW tangs will eat algae because this is their basic instinct. Only thing they prefer meat.

where did you get these varieties of shrimps? so far I only found mysis. Now I had placed an orange ash tray in the tank, wanting to rain them to eat from dining table. Cant find darker bowl. Once the shrimp is in the water, the seahorse will chase to come but when the mysis drops to the rock or ash tray, they wont eat. They just look look see see. When I stir the mysis up, they will eat. Seems they wont eat any mysis that is not floating. Any advise?

Yes you can feed the live mysis. LCK's type of live mysis are bigger than the hikari frozen mysis by ratio 3:1. The seahorse will suck so hard, they spray out water from the coronet a few times. Sometimes they will leave a portion broken away. I had noticed my seahorse preferred the live mysis. Its very far for me too. Its very inconvenient for me to go there too. The mysis is enough for more than two weeks. Only problem, they die off very fast even ammonia is low. Ammonia starts due to sudden amount of mysis introduced at once. I am planning to diy a seahorse fry tank which can be a mysis tank too. First this is to maintain the live mysis. Secondly, if the seahorse suddenly mates, I will not be caught with my pants down. Well, brine are not good but under convenience, and once in a blue moon, it is needed to feed them this. I just want them to enjoy more on different food and sometimes ###### bits, LOL BTW Im feeding the live mysis only to my seahorse. I am not feeding to my main tank fishes because I dont want them to later turn to my peppermint and coral banded shrimp as supper or dessert.

this month and last month had gone down as soon as pacific reef shipment arrives every week and awaited all the time until they had unpacked all stocks. Never seen any seahorse. you bought a male? males has the extra brood at bottom. never see any there with this extra brood. Victor also know all same no extra brood. your next new male seahorse will enjoy more than in my tank. Your tank is stand-by with 3 gorgeous females. mine just only two.

wow! you are not fishmonger! you are suncoral monger, LOL I think high flow is the requirement. I had used to feed everyday but after heavy workload, never feed my old suncoral for 1 yr and still OK. Maybe when I feed mysis to my fish, some tiny ones flow into them.

a nice reefer from the other end of Singapore came all the way here and got himself 12kgs LR. He was shocked to see my coraline algae all over to the main tank's glass, LOL. After stacking here and there, seems still need to clear few kgs more. Anyone wants buy nice rocks? You can choose from the very big 9" sizes to 4" sizes LR.

Millions of reefers around the globe. well, some reefers have scary rocks doesnt mean most or everyone. I didnt point any finger at anyone too. This is a fact and I do hate to see them having this problem too. Put it in my shoes, if I have this prob, I will scream too. I am very sorry that this happened, maybe indirectly pointed to you. But all I can say that I am not pointing anyone. But from your act, you had chased away ppl to buy from me. when ppl treat me good, I will treat them even better.
