How does the water come back into the tank??? = pump 3. What happens when return Pump does not work and my sump is filling up with water? = using Internal Overflow System which is partition in main tank and water wont overflow when pump stop. It also has a hole drilled to let water gravity go down to sump. Please refer to website as they are more professional in explanations. a similar design on IOS: http://www.dursostandpipes.com/

when they come out at nite, I feel better. If they come out at day, they will scavenge the coral food and I will scream, LOL. -
it is ok to add more. at first they will quarrel and bully but after months or yrs, they will appreciate each other's existance.

the only solution to determine whether these shrimps are molted and hiding is to take out all the Live rocks. I have a golden coral banded shrimp which had dissappeared for 1 yr and suddenly appeared. After appering for few days, it gone for few months hiding again, and again and again. Playing hide and seek. Had noticed sometimes while the cleaner shrimp clean the parasites from the fish, when its a mistake too painful, the fish will whack the shrimp. According to articles, cleaner shrimps will survive only when they are only a few and still providing service to the fishes. When alot, the fishes will tends to feast them. I usually buy a pair or three and so far not seen eaten. I only hates them being so scavenger and stealing food from my corals. Now my clowns the same idiot attitude.

topping up using ntuc distilled water

nah, business world is a doggy dog world. As for Hyflux, they didnt invent those new water treatement. Europe and USA had long ago invented them but didnt go ahead because the cost is high and not worth. At that time when the Msia and Spore had conflict on the water issue, the government has to find a solution so Hyflux was introduced to this issue. This is a die die must want project so the government must die die backup. This is a political issue business so Hyflux will 100% gain. After this issue, every country knows that it is best interest to depend on self on water resources. Well, if you have ideas and no money, how to make it work? then you have go to the investor and they will ask, "who are you?" BTW before you see them, they already ignoring you, "another poor guy comes to beg" This world is damn realistic. If your good friend is a sugar daddy, no matter you have nothing, you will get rich through his support. Saw that on many rich ppl. Alamak, why talk so much on unrelated issue? PPL just put this topic about NTUC distilled water, now we better go back to something related. -
i always measure pH, between 8.1 to 8.4 so I wont say acidic.

its the pepermint which ate those aips or those aips shifted house. U have to monitor closely. peppermints, coral banded and some others shrimps likes to venture at nite. Normal cleaner shrimp are very brave so you can see them whenever and wherever. But when these shrimps are acclimated, they will tends to come out in the day. -
agree iwth this gorgeous lady. it is advisable to put that pump away from the overflow and the output back to tank at the other end.

alamak, bad words also out. *start to walk away* not so easy to get rich. hyflux started as an engineering company and then water treatment equipments before this trade now. They have backups from sugar daddy. If I have backup, I also rich. Only ideas wont get rich. With sugar daddy 100% will get rich. *hops away to find sugar daddy* -
wow, u got my dream tank, LOL. I was thinking of this tank model with 8ft width since months ago. But too expensive, except I strike ToTo it depends on how wide the tank and formation of LR. If 6 ft, maybe you should add another pump.
-
when did you do this? long ago? if long ago, never come back?
-
that means this is the normal snack seaweed? $1 per pkt? cook with maggi mee and feed the tangs? good idea. afterward they shit maggi mee too. LOL. I noticed I feed my seahorse mysis and they shit mysis. They themselves sometimes almost mistaken thats mysis. I also sometimes mistaken, LOL. How do you splat it on the glass? It seems that very difficult to maintain the seaweed in position after the tangs disturbed it. I just scare it will float to the filter.

Ummm, why not "bomb!" or "diam!"

I have used in my sump for but not suitable. after many years bio home will be so soft to handle with hand. So bio home is not suitable for marine

wow, good family discipline. Did you place any menu there so they will know what is the soup of the day? so thursday to sunday, drink saltwater only? what type of seaweed in shopping? any pic? is it that black seaweed usually used in slice fish soup in hawker center?
-
Aiya... pls lah... LOL, U think its little? Aiya... pls lah..., If you try a bare tank, then you will know why after few months your bottom is so dirty with LR sand and some are floating. LR particles varies in sizes and weight. I found out the best way to reduce these particles is by reducing the flow.

means mechanical process and heat process. Alamak this thread just a simple thread become so complicated. Dont make things so complicated la. motto is "We Take The Best, Separate The Rest" means salary is put aside? wow, that means they willing to pay double? they need to employ anyone now? LOL *Reeftask starts to type resume* -
seems very funny that these guys are so extreme hardy. They wont die in hot boiled water. Perhaps the dna are like disease, unkillable at 100C temperature. Anyone tried pouring acid on them? Seems very afraid if fishes didnt eat properly, some bits are dropped off, they will grow to another aips.

wa lau, i will resign too, LOL

Can i add Tap water direct to new tank?
reeftask replied to mengyang_neo's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
just put in the water to the tank and add salt to your designated salinity. Chlorine will evaporate after 24 hrs. Then cycle the tank for few days. Taa daaa! saltwater produced. Best to place LR as soon as possible to cycle after all your salt had dissolved after these few days. If you are using old mature LR, you can start adding fish slowly. If you have no idea where to spend your money, you can buy lots of RO/DI water and equipments. -
thats means your brain coral is damn hungry. LOL Corals has some sensors on the tentacles and cells. Maybe this mushroom has attached some coral food and sensed by the brain. I think you better monitor

There are few other ways also beside chemical process. Wow, this topic become chemistry. Wanna join the New Water Industry? Yrs before the new water is introduced in Singapore, I have measured the water in Jurong Housing Estate is having dKH of 2-3. The chlorine level is 30-40 ppm but 1 week ago I measured and it was 100ppm! The nitrate and ammonia level are low. -
aiming lr. Lr also made of molecules. Flow is friction. Friction will lift up molecules very slowly. This theory and practically had been proven in science.
