  2. had mine for yrs. no problem yet.
  3. nice wrasses. i have no idea how to get there tho. is there a busstop nearby?
  4. Skimmers go mad for a lot of different reasons. give it a while.
  5. Got something from petmart yesterday. It's waterproof and can be used underwater. But i put it above the water for the shimmering effect. some pics. Spread is about 30-35 degrees from the LED.
  6. wow thanks. i think u got it. i think i've been lucky to find one that feeds regularly on pellets.
  7. the shrimp is in a 15/20 cm tank on its own. no worries.
  8. hahaha good riddance anyway.
  9. thanks. It's in a small tank on its own, so no worries there.
  10. how big is it? if its not too big maybe i can dump him in my mantis tank.
  11. lol If someone could come up with a exact species ID maybe i could find out more about it. im just curious. spearer or smasher? maybe i can drop in a big enough snail for a bit of cleanup.
  12. thanks. i reckon i'll wait til mid/end of next week to decide whether to move it.
  13. As per topic. i need an ID of this mantis shrimp.
  14. its open. just not as big as yours. maybe i'll find a better spot for it.
  15. hmm. i've never tot they were that difficult to deal with. I even have a Red that i hardly ever feed. it's still doing fine, as i recall. somehow i epoxied it facing the back of the tank, so i can only see the skirting n some other parts of it. lol. Maybe their lightings were too intense? the couple of blastos i had that were bleaching are now recovering after i removed them from the top. Im using 4x39W T5 btw. my tank is 3x2x2.
  16. My fav blasto. Almost died after a fall to the sandbed where it lain for a few days b4 i even noticed. Bleached 50% then. Recovered within a month when i put it back on its perch at the top. Occasional feedings of pellets n mysis. Tough bugger who's used to the T5s at the top now while the other blastos will bleach if i put them at the same position.
  17. thanks for all the replies. will wait a few more days n monitor progress.
  18. Hi all, Got a 7 head Duncan from RB last nite. Just wondering what kind of flowrate the duncan prefers as mine isn't opening wide after a day (under low/medium flow). Or maybe i just have to wait a bit longer.
  19. Its not exactly silent, but its not noisy. u probably wouldn't hear anything if u had a cabinet.
