ice probe will work better for a smaller nano tank. anything over a feet probably isn't a gd idea. i think a fan or a chiller for your tank size would work better.

i think it looks ok. give it time.

from wat i hear, the power cable has a ground wire that's not used by the original 2 pin. he proposing to re-wire all 3 wires properly in a 3 pin plug. lol i dunno. i was nv good at electrical stuff. -

would re-wiring the 2 pin into a std UK 3-pin solve the issue? thats wat the supplier recommended. -

Its annoying to have the more expensive equipment come in with non-UK plugs. i wish they'll change them to the 3 pins when they get to singapore. -

Supplier called. he asked me to see if the power cable can be changed to the UK 3-pin plug instead. If not, he'll drop by my place to hack it into a UK plug. i think that should solve the issue. It came with a German(i think) 2-pin plug. -

maybe i phrased it wrong. i only get the shock as my water enters the water. after that it's fine. still, i have to see if the supplier can repair or change the thing for me. else i have to look for other options. -

how do u ground the chasis? -
do i need a ground probe? i think i've narrowed down the cause to the Hailea chiller im running. as long as the main for the chiller is off, i dun get those small shocks in the tank anymore.

Hi all, i've been thinking of buying a new chiller since the fan doesnt really help in this hot weather. Is the Hailea HC-300 any good? My tank is a 3x2x2 with a sump of 2.5x2x1.5(water depth). it all adds up to about 500L++. also, i have a Rio 12HF. Can i use that with the HC-300?

a trap might work. leave it in there for a few days, then bait the trap and wait for the fish to swim in. or use a mirror.
