  14. another impressive system coming...
  15. Bro, IMO, if your pH reading is correct, then the Ca reading of 490ppm might be wrong. At this high pH together with Ca concentration of 490ppm, i believe Ca will start to precipitate out already.. Alkalinity consist of carbonate, bicarbonate and hydroxide ions. Increasing any of the 3 will increase alkalinity. However, only by increasing hydroxide portion will then cause the pH to raise..
  16. Coral farm selling a kind of seagrass with broad green leaves attached to rock base. Each leaves is approx 1ft in length and 10 - 15cm across. IMO, ideal for refugium as it is too big to be placed in main tank..
  17. Hey bro, i still right.. i said at least 5 clammies...

  20. bro, u sure is so much lower? I am always under the impression my 1/4 artica is 200W.. haha...
  21. i had not done any controlled experiment to determine that so i cannot say for sure how efficient is it. However, to a certain extent, i believe the do remove nutrient; New leaves growth = Nutrients remove from water You determine for yourself how much a pair of leaves worth of nutrient..hehe but they are slow growers though.. Cheato is another choice I choose mangroves because i like the still look of it in a seperate refugium and to keep some interesting stuffs there as well not possible in the main tank
