Had configured my fraging tank and letting go my MH pendant lighting with external ballast 175W. Bulb are white crystal spectrum (donno what brand) very pleasing to view but not enough intensity for my sps frags. Pics attached and had bit of rust but can easily cover with a black spray. Looking at $30 Also have green carpet anemone, open at 8in come with the host a pair of common black clown. Looking at $30. Pic attached, been with me about a year. Unfortunately the female had Popeye recently and about to recover. Pair is FOC about 2.5in & 2in. Lastly my yellow tonga leather coral, bought at LCK 201 at $20 letting go at $8 only. We can see some change often and others sometime. For me I change water weekly about 50-75ltrs coz am using NSW (cheap) which is low in mineral element. I beef up all element by adding supplement in the water change as well as drip daily that is Magnesium Chloride, Calcium Chloride, Calcium hydroxide, Sodium Bicarbonate and Potassium Chloride. All this element buy in bulk (cheaper but some set back). Other additives all I get them readily on selves (strontium, iodine, pro coral mineral, A+ element) Am not that expert but you can see the chloride ion is not balance after such additive added daily. So this is why, I do water change often as to keep in check all element balance and my sps, lps and softy w fishes live happily. If u using sulphur denitrator, sulphate ion increase due time also. Our mate above using reputable additives readily on selves which are all in good composition for use in our little glass ocean. Yet using dsb (deep sand bed) of correct depth will give u balance aerobic and anerobic condition (denitrating factor) which give u lower nitrate. Check water parameter is a must forthnigthly or at least a month to keep up with the element in the tank. The best for busy reefer IMHO get a electronic water controller which will tell u at least the major important element for a stable water condition. Bro angel77 just wonder how u can achieved high redox reading in ur tank cos i hardly can go beyond 350mv. Thanks.

Bro he is rite. Try expose some part of coralline algae on surface of water (if u can spare lol) soon after 24hrs it will turn pink then few days later turn white dead IME.

Hi, Letting go the chiller cheap. Been serving me good for 2yrs without a problem. Last few days had failed to cool my system and need servicing ( think need gas top up). Upgraded to a bigger chiller for my 5footer that link to few tanks, so kind of redundant. A yr old chiller bought $640 from Mr Ng of Bedok ( if you know him) and now selling at any reasonable price. Just name your price but not a ridiculous one pls. Specs; 1.5HP at operating wattage of 450W with a big pot to accommodate titanium coil giving efficient cooling at low watt. Produce a reasonable noise level, man for 4ft till 1500ltr tank at flow rate 1800 – 3000l/h. Diam; 21LX14BX18H inches of wt 28kg apprx. Information received from 1st owner. Will throw in a nano chiller for any prospect buyer. But chiller kind of rusty and come without any temp. controller, or otherwise work well.
