What is the size of yr nano? You can try birdnest, Montis, pocci and digis. Start with birdnest frags. You will need to keep yr parameters (kh, ca, mg, salinity) stable.

When dosing bacteria, leave the skimmer off for at least 3 hrs. Check with recommended water level and adjust air intake. As you have not added LS yet, there isn't much to skim anyway. -

Bro peong, I have installed an aircon compressor serving both the 3ft and nano. Each has it's own thermostat. 3ft is kept at 26 deg and nano at 27 deg

Yeah...just fortunate. Just love the possums!

Thank you Dominique (aka dispair anthias) for letting me have his tanaka possum wrasse. Hope it's a pair. Really love this fish. Bright colours and so shy. Just hovering around the lrs. That's precisely the kind of fish my nano was set up for - cryptic, shy fishes. Also bought another Randall goby hoping to pair it up with my existing. It's a 50/50 chance they would pair up. ... And they did! Hooray!

Pink Monti touching stag soon so decided to re-locate it. Stuck it beside the galaxy. Let's see if it can co-exist. Just love staghorns. Blue, purple and green slimmer are my favorites. Last update for the evening- A bottom up shot.

Thanks for the encouragement. Trying to keep it simple. Weekly maintenance is siphoning detritus collected in sump and overflow and water change from 3ft tank. Salinity is maintained with a ATO devise.

My idea for this nano was to create an environment for timid fishes such as gobies, pipefishes, dart fishes to be seen out in the open; however, they continue to remain in hiding.

Lost all my fishes due to ATO malfunction and salinity of the tank shot up. Had to re-stock all my fishes again. This tank as compared to my 3ft tank, has higher casualty rate. Fishes list: helfrichi Yasha goby, Randall goby, Griessingeri, sunburst anthias. Come to think of it, this tank has more fishes than my 3 ft. Corals list: Assorted zoas Acans Florida rics Pulsing Xenia

Thought I'll update my tank thread with the 2 new additions - corceas I got today from AM. Can you identify the corceas? Compare the 2 pics of my blue stags. The first one was taken without any lights. The second one with the lights. I'm not able to capture the same colour when you see the corals in person.

Peace, The light set is at it's highest. Anyway my par38 supplement is more for aesthetics and not growth. I can do without it as well. It's really very much personal preference.
