bro, maybe you wanna try setting the temp of the chiller to the temp in the tank. (you will need a thermometer in the tank to meaure its temp then set the chiller temp to that temp using the instructions below.) good luck.

I used to have that Nature Ocean black sand in my nano.... Cons: too fine...... cannot siphon => detritus gets buid up very very easily and difficult to siphon off. not "black enough" more like grey get sandstorm easily get compacted easily. need to stir often even though I have nassarius snails and sand dollars
