He is just so full of that... hahaha

I will only go smaller. not bigger. Dislike big tanks. don't have the $$ and patience to maintain them well. Well the biggest I go might be 2 ft max. had a 2.5 ft and even that I feel it was too big. What I would like to do is perhaps have 3 separate species 1 ft cube tank but link the water management system together. 1 seahorse & pipefish, 1 SPS and 1 softies + LPS.

Don't count on it. Each time, it poop about 2 mins. no joke hor. Hopefully it is pooping only during feeding days. Else there will be way too much waste.

I have isolated that clown and he is in a hospital tank now -
Okie. Caught my coco worm pooing in action. The 2 coil just split away from the center. Then the tentacles releases the poo. notices that the center tentacles is clean now. then wait for the next wave .... see the poo building up in the mid? compare with the 1st pic. see the poo? Fire away again... This goes on like 5 -6 times!!!!!

Found a new place to house them. I like them perched on the top there. Have removed isolated the snails and the urchin. Hopefully they will like it there.

Finally I managed to set my whitebalance correctly using the coco worm white tube lol. Here's the right colour of my clams. If you look from the top, the colouration is different. Here's a fuzzy pic as I did not off my Vortech. But you can see that the one on the right is much greener.

Hi Cale Welcome to SRC. I did receive your PM but was just pondering if I have sufficient info to comment on the light. My tank is barely 1.5 months old. As a new setup, a lot of the water parameters are not stable. Moreover this is a nano tank so there is even more variables involved. Let me pen my thoughts and perhaps you can weigh the facts. - The fans on my set is rather noisy. MaxSpect has sent me the new replacement fan which they claim is more silent but I have not installed it yet. Let me see if I can find time to do that in the next 2 weeks. all I can see is that my skimmer Tunze 9002 is noisier of the 2 now. Softies - The Xenias, Star Polyps are doing very well and seemed to be growing. Mushies are doing well except for the orangy red ones which have turned to maroon. LPS - I have none. SPS - Cannot say for sure. The purple one has bleached a little but the polyps are starting to extend. The green one seemed to be doing well. But do note that these seemed to be acropora and my tank should not be keeping these SPS, logically speaking. Montis seemed to be ok too but not much growth seen yet. if you check back in 2 months and if my baby clams are still surviving, then prob the lights are sufficient for them. Sorry I know this hardly help but the fact is I myself is not sure how good these light set is. I hope that once my tank is stocked up and the water is more stable, I can reinstate back my MH and see which one does better. If you are keeping softies and perhaps LPS, my guess is that this LED should be able to support those. For SPS, you would have to take a gamble. All the best Cale.

I bought it from a reefer. understand that if you feed it frequently by flooding the tank method, it will slowly stay open longer.

BTW, found posting in NR and RC that relates to coco worm pooing..... So I think it is confirmed that they poo like fishes and they poo a lot!

Coco worm The Hard Tube Coco Worm, also known as the Hard Tube Feather Duster, Protula Tubeworm, or Hard Tubeworm, has a crown that can be white, yellow, orange, pink, or red. The radioles may be banded or patterned. Younger Hard Tube Coco Worms have bi-lobed crowns, while the crowns of older individuals are spiraled. The Hard Tube Coco Worm secretes a calcareous tube, approximately 1/2 inch in diameter and 5-8 inches long, to house its vulnerable worm body. When disturbed, it can quickly retract its crown and close its operculum to shut the top of its tube. It usually anchors its tube in a crevice of the rocky reef or in the gravel along current-swept reef slopes. It uses the radioles to filter out floating plankton. The aquarium for the Hard Tube Coco Worm should be well-established and contain a rock and gravel substrate. The Hard Tube Coco Worm requires calcium and the proper alkalinity to grow. It is extremely intolerant of poor water quality and copper-based medications. In the aquarium it is difficult to maintain, and will need supplements of phytoplankton and liquid organic foods.

Ok this is getting too much. He just pooed again. I think he does that like every 3- 4 hourly. Fouling up all my water. Never know they have such high bioload. Can anyone confirm this or have I mistaken ==> Coco worm has high bio load and releases waste ???

Thanks Ron. You can get it from any of the LFS that sells JBJ nano tank. I got mine from AM at about $120 I think. You can also posting WTB at Pasar malam for 2nd hand deals. Gd luck!
