  1. My PPE Zoas.. opened up more now. top down a frag of it. 6 heads. broke off while I was doing scaping last week. 3 polyps at the front and another 3 on the right side
  2. my shell-less snail. I have 3 - 4 of these. no more toppling of frags.
  3. pics for today. Rics: top down gives the best colour representation. and rics pooping?
  4. Thanks Daryl for the food and many other stuffs. Nice meeting you too. Always good to put a face to a name. No worries about the bags.
  5. Dun tell lies just to make some money out of selling your zoas. Good luck to your sale.
  6. Thanks Daryl. Yes usually it is clean 1 - 2 days after maintenance only. The rest of the days..... sigh.... is damn jialat one.....
  7. Like your scaping, Justin. Reminds me of a canyon. Swweeeee..... The anemone seems like a majano anemone. They are considered a pest. But these are not very reproductive. Once they find a suitable location, they will stay rooted there. If you do not mind, you can leave it alone. I had 3 and got rid of 2 cause I needed the space. (my tank is a nano) The last one standing is one of my luminous exhibit in the tank Bristleworm - I had small fishes in my tank. I also have snails without shells in the tank. None of them had been attacked by the bristleworm. I know there are still 1 - 2 worms in the tank. For my case, I'd just let them be.
  8. Upzz for you bro. Really nice stuffs you have.
  9. Hey Thomas, grats! Seems like you will be entering another phase of your life soon. Yeah save up more for your new place, wedding bangquet etc.
  10. You are talking about the mini ELOS? Friend, that thing cost a few thousands. Certainly does not sound low cost to me.
  11. haha..... your comments so funny ..... Yeah work hard. Especially important to work doubly hard during initial first few years. Jia you !
  12. Thanks. ok mine is definitely not calibrated. Better do it quick.
  13. Once you are a reefer, you will always have the urge to keep marine tanks. you might stop for a year or two but the thought will always pop back up again. when you start working, then there will be a lot of things that you will be targetting besides tank matters. - new clothes, accessories - dating budget - savings for marriage - savings for a home .... school life is so much better imo
  14. Hey Zhimin that is because Peter is camping here on this thread .....haha always talking about GO gems.... So you got your stone already? grats! That one is more impt than any jewels in the tank. If you are free, can always drop by my place. cut you some frags. cheers!
  15. I have a friend who is interested in setting up a nano. 1 ft - 2 ft length tank. If you have one setup to let go or if you have usable eqpt (tank, light, Koralia nano) for nanos to let go, please pm me. This will be a budget setup.
  16. you are a very bad influence..... how's your new acqusition? Post some pics leh....
  17. lol payday next week... and yeah gonna spend ... but not on my tank.... gonna spend on my girls. It has been some time since i got them some toys. The good thing about nano is that you can only spend so much in the livestock. Throw in 2 - 3k and your tank is full. in a way, its dmg limitation. another good news for me is that I have submitted all my 2009 medical reimbursement today... quite a substantial amount. Hehe a mini bonus for me next month
  18. Hehe ..".. no temptations can seize you beyond what you can bear..." Can tahan wan lah. This is not an issue. My mind is set. but I do need to get a Royal Gramma when the ick in my tank goes away. My girl has been bugging me.
  19. 6 weeks time - chinese new year. Ang Pow will suck me dry already. then another 6 - 8 weeks .....that will be my wife's birthday..... gotta get big present. then another 6 - 8 weeks ..... will be my girls birthday....gotta throw big party. then another 6 - 8 weeks ..... will be my birthday.....that time maybe can get some yumas as a present for myself ...... hehe
  20. I am ridden with a deep deep sense of guilt this month... utterly overspent my $$ The slight consolation that I have is that my tank is quite full now and there is a sense of satisfaction beaming inside me. Looking forward to focus on maintenance of the tank for the next 6 - 8 weeks.
  21. Looks like another power setup. and He definitely has the same skimmer as you.
