Generally with yumas/ rics, the minute you put them into the tank.... just leave it there for a few weeks, Don't touch them. Think they will fair better. For my FTS - yeah just a simple tank. I kept a bottle of DI water from yesterday evening till this morning. PH still 9.5

Hi all I just bought a crystal pro and was eagerly going to use it to top up my tank. Good thing is that I checked the PH of the treated water before doing so. THe PH was at 9.5 Tested raw tap water PH... 9 Wow... nvr know that they are so high. Have you guys experience this before and how do you lower it to 8.2?

PH was low for some time when I was topping up with NTUS Distilled water. I am using a DI now but guess what..... My tap water has a PH of 8.8 ! After going thru the Crystal Pro, it becomes 9.5 !!!! No kidding...... AM wrecking my brain to see how I can reduce the PH of my tap water.

no worries. get the nicer coloured ones. Avoid brown, green. Get the orange, lime green, purples..... etc. Will be very nice. My tank is too small. Else I would have wanted to get those too.

Thoughts from a nooby. 30W are included to boost the intensity of the light levels. PAR or whatever term that is being used. The light set already has a good number of 3W LEDs. But to enable the light to reach the light intensity of a 250W MH, 2x 30W LED are used to replace 4x 3W LEDs from the 110W model. (without the 2x 30W LED, it matches a 110W MH). I would think this is an ingenious idea abeit that it is done in sacrifice of energy efficiency. The LEDs output is beaming at 120 deg. hence the spotlight effect is not that visible especially when you have 2 at a small distance apart. But there might be some dimming at the edge perhaps. Digibee has a set and he might be able to comfirm. imo, the models with 30W LEDs are for SPS.
