Any LFS outing or Lunch meet, pls remember to drop me an SMS hor! BTW , feel free to TCSS in this kopitiam thread in my absence. Happy reefing!
  2. Digibee also use this product. http://www.aquamarin.com.sg/productsDetail.asp?productid=1080 you can check with him the effectiveness.
  3. keep calling him hor. you need to pester him one. Also check with Razali and Henry. They might be able to advise. I will help you to ask Sam if I did go over to Sealife. He prob would know too. So how did you tank go? manage to solve the chiller pump issue?
  4. another update: also did see a lot of crawlies again. not sure what they are. Took some of my zoas and dipped them in coral RX. A lot of worms and pods. let see if their condition improves.
  5. update: ok thrown away already. I took it out to dip. then as I clean it, part of the rock broke out. there is a big bunch of smelly slimy digusting rotting stuff in there (very much like when mushroom melt except that these does not disperse so easily) use wooden chop stick to try to dig it out, the chopstick poke through all the way to the other side of the rock..... Have you seen a rotten rock before? In a bad mood, so just pick it up and threw it away.
  6. Comy, I know nuts about this but found this site where there is a picture of an external overflow used for euro bracing: http://www.lifereef.com/siphon.html Last pic at the bottom. Try calling Ian. I am sure he knows if the 4inch distance is feasible.
  7. Hi Kelvin, very nice tank. maybe you can resize your pics next time. easier to view. planning to keep any corals ?
  8. Hi Stan, at the time when you bought the zoa, were they opened? How big is your tank and what is the water temperature? My zoas open pretty easily even when given a glimpse of sunlight. Did you check your water parameters? salinity, nitrate etc? Do you have any other corals in your tank? and fishes? sorry for asking so many questions back
  9. !!!! wahahaha The seller who sold wants to buy it back The buyer who bought wants to sell it away.... What is the chance of such an event happening again?????
  10. mine are all TCSS and no substance lah. Bro, I have very very opposing views with the way you see things, that is a fact. But I am really sad to see you deccomm this tank and your 3 footer has been very enlightening. Well the good news is that you will be back with a bigger upgrade and I look forward to see your new "babe" in the very near future.
  11. ya definitely getting something suitable and hardy.
  12. you will definitely be back with a bang!
  13. ?? dun lah.... your tank so nice. Why?
  14. wahahaha ..... gotcha! just a small nisso plastic tank lah.....
  15. I am thinking of getting her a clown trigger. but will let her chose whatever fish she wants lah. Its her tank anyway. She is quite fickle minded. Every time tells me a different fish when I ask her for her favorite. first it was maroon clown, then it was jawfish, then RG, then neon goby, then yellow tang, then purple firefish (which she dislike at one time) and now back to jawfish.....go figure lol....
  16. That I am not sure. I did not do any read up on ES model. Maybe you can keep us posted after finding out more. Thanks in advance.
  17. I think the teething problems are gone now.
  18. on a more serious note, I am buying my girl a fish tank on her birthday next month. just a small one with Liberty filter so that she can keep some fishes and feed them.
  19. Ya. you are right. why don't you get some anthias for your girl on Thursday?
  20. I used to buy my girl a toy every month. Now its like 2x a year. birthday and christmas. will feel so guilty..... then I have to go my fishes for therapy. 2 minutes gone and I will be happy again
  21. should go and look for weisheng and the other camera experts here : including yourself hor. I am really just a jack of all trades.... master of none.
  22. surprise you never say : the power of a good photographer....wahahaha
  23. I nooby too..... but can share tips yah? use lower ISO. 100, 200, 250. If you are taking with 400 and above, it will turn up more grainy. The only flip side is that you will need a longer exposure time. Try to open the aperture as large as possible when you are close up shot. most software can help to lower noise level too. Which DSLR you are using?
