Kiko If you are looking at artificial rock, make sure the pieces you get does not have large holes that fishes can swim inside. My tank fouled up becoz of that. Fishes swam in and died inside. The water inside the rock foul up and I had to strip down the entire tank to clear that mess. But imo, for 2 footer, better to go for live rocks. If you are keen on the smaller pieces, I have 2. These are ok coz they do not have large holes. sell you cheap cheap. Hope your tank goes well. Mine is kindda getting screwed coz the fiji rocks that I got was really bad. now I bet my tank parameters must be quite jialat.

Hi bro You can also dose Calcium additives manually. Having a CR with CO2 and solenoid, controller will ease the dosing regime. Young clams requires Phytoplankton. 3 inch and above are above to sustain themselves by making food from good strong lights. Would suggest you get 3 inch and above clams. good luck!

Bro, Let me try to help. I assume you are talking about the calcium media that you put in Calcium Reactors. These requires CO2 to dissolves them. Putting them in the main tank is not going to help. You can dose calcium additives (these are in powder or liquid form) in your main tank to increase the the calcium level. These additives are different from the calcium media I was talking about earlier. Hope this helps. rgds Jacky
