  2. nice FTS gerrard. very well filled up. When's your new light coming?
  3. hmmm..... not sure what is the performance level of the BM skimmer.... but the prizm skimmer is definitely a mediocre skimmer.
  4. bro, if you have not been using the spare tanks for some time and they have been kept dry, you might want to do check if the silicon has hardened. if they have, then there is a high chance that it might leak.
  5. Terry try drilling the rocks and cabletie them up. Really good for scaping. That scape was very nice.
  6. ooi ... still available? Artica ..... best in class.
  7. lol Jun is definitely not one of those. Pics Jun!
  8. YeaH its normal. your ph range is good. Will drop by to see your KR92 another day
  9. Hey hi A., ideal ph is 8.1-8.3 ph increases thoughout the day once your light switches on. So if u monitor the reading on your aquatronica, you will notice your ph is at the highest just before you switch off your light. (ph is higher when you have less CO2 in your tank) Just check your ph reading during lights on and lights off timing. IMO, the key is not achieving the magical ph number of 8.2 but the target is to have as consistent ph with as less swing as possible. Hence throughout the day, a ph of 8.0 - 8.2 is better than a ph of 8.0 -8.4
  10. Grats Ray! Post pics of your win after you receive them!
  11. Where were you... We were talking about you.... I think almost everyone bought a little something...... Who could resist.....
  12. Great dinner and gathering guys! Lost too much fluid and feel dehydrated though from excessive drooling at wilson's and cedric's tanks. Wilson, Cedric, Ty for opening up your place..... Amphiron, nice to meet you. Clam chowder, too bad u could not join us today. Next time !

  14. I am a T&E photographer. Trial and error. Hopefully out of 100 shots, 1 of them will be ok
  15. actually I have a blog on my girls .... stopped for 10 months already.. eversince I started reefing again and spent too much time on tank and SRC...... kinda of feeling guilty now... have to restart that blog....
  16. i did off the MP10 but not my chiller return. cause I am worried that I might forget switching it on back. anyway I took 2 hrs + to play with the lens.. did not want to switch off my chiller for so long. Thanks for the compliment on my girls photos. I like those very much. I forgot to bring my external flash that day hence there were some shadow cast over the face... Had to react quick, she refuses to post, i had to talk, play with her and snap at the same time.... she damn camera shy.....
  17. How to naturally remove Nitrates and Phosphate without a Skimmer? frequent & regular WC. Best 2 x a week. else once a week. a lot depends on your stocking level and feeding/ dosing habits. sometimes the question is how high is high nitrate? some people keep reefs with 30 - 40 ppm and their corals are still fine. I think depends on what you are keeping. Most people would try to lower to about 10 - 20ppm. unless if you are keeping SPS, it needs to be close to 0ppm. phosphate just encourages algae bloom. chisel rock....hmmm nvr come across it lol.... probably the rock will break into several pieces before you get to the shape you wanted. I have drilled them and secured them with cable before though.
  18. yes it is possible not not to use a chiller for nano. Just use a fan to blow which a lot of bros have mentioned. water evaporation will be higher. temperature can be maintained at around 29 deg cel. certain corals need good lighting. certain are less demanding. there are some that does not need light. T5s will do fine for your tank too... not necessary to plunge into LEDs. using mce300, yes you can support higher bioload but that does not necessary translate into more fishes hor. Fishes need their own territory and space. Corals do produce some waste but not something that you need to be bothered about.
  19. that is a much better size than your 1.5 x 1 x 1 tank maker - any of those we have mentioned so far.
  20. no idea man.... lol I just find them quite nice and hope they survive in my tank. personally, I prefer regular clowns than the high end platinum clowns and so forth with too weird misbars. Grade A picassos are nice though.
  21. yeah... but they should be ok after a few months,.... keeping fingers crossed.
  22. Lol my lights are on from 5 pm to 1 am
  23. Ph will increase throughout the day till aquarium lights are switched off. The ph reading just before lights off are usualy at the highest. My night refers to at night when the aquarium lights are still switched on
  24. k k... feeling the stress already.... let me try to finalised the workshop details and rope in the SRC regulars to help out.
