  1. happens to all of us in the beginning... rather buy wrongly than not buy,.... haha..... but your mentality will change later.....
  2. really outstanding photos... the colours are pretty naturally and the images are very sharp.....
  3. MP10 will do. I am using it and my tank is that size.
  4. lol... bro, everything I see your anemone... i have a good giggle..... yeah dun throw away those tubes, new feathers will grow.
  5. Hi goon, nice meeting you too. Sorry I had to rush to pick up my girls. Else would love to chat more...... Hope those sponges will be useful to you. mine is a simple tank... Thanks for the compliment.... Will keep you posted if I see nice corals suitable for you.
  6. just to add on... usually for a sump. typically, the 1st layer will be used it for mechanical filtration (cotton filters) as the 1st layer. This will remove unwanted food, detritus. Then the water through the chemical filtration - carbon, phosphate removers and finally through a biological filtration - live rocks/ biohommes. For your case, it seems that the water just flow into a pile of liverocks. So food/ dirt overflowing into these rocks will then to pile and gather up there. over time, there will be a lot of detritus built up. honestly I am not sure how effective those LRs are given the state of the sump, maybe it is , maybe it isn't ... I really dunno... keep us posted on your progress after 2 - 3 weeks bro. good case studies for all of us.
  7. bro.... Can I suggest this? clear the rocks in the sump. clean up the sump. siphon out the detritus. place a bag of biohomme in the sump. Get a filter sock and place it under your pipe - let the overflow water go straight into the filter sock. you can place the carbon and phosphate remover in your mce instead like what I do. (alternatively can also place them in the sump) you can try Pura carbon/ Pura complete. quite good. get rid of the light in the sump. drop a piece of polyfilter into the sump. just leave it the sump tank. your tank have some live rocks in your main tank right? dose bacteria according to reccommended qty. do WC regular for the next few weeks... best using salt mix water as I have encountered bad quality NSW before. do not add any new Livestock till your water params are ok. good luck bro.
  8. hope it survives in this 1 footer, bro...... *gulp.
  9. 1. you can dose bacteria now. 2. leave it there to totally rot until it disappears..... be patient.... after this cycle, your fishes will feel better after being introduced into your tank * clap clap - thanks for doing it the right way.
  10. yeah yeah .... just like Ray is not a feeding fanatic.
  11. Thanks Lemon! yeah... it is not outstandingly bright colours... but in a very pastel way, very unique and attractive...... need to slowly see to admire the amazing colours.
  12. thanks bro... simple 1 footer lah ..... I am sure yours will be much better!
  13. lol... can never win you guys..... yeah frag tank...... no skimmer lah... and no cabinet the fts? thanks .... haha but the rock scape collapse already.... got put them right again. post photo after i have done it

  15. Terryz, come in and make him feel 100% better leh
  16. btw my 1 ft cube tank all low budget stuff. PL light, HOB liberty filter, using fan. total cost $120 only. but trying it make it look nice
  17. can lah... but not as effective... I believe a good skimmer helps to keep a nano easier. they always say WC frequent, dun need skimmer...... but unless if you really have that discipline to be like ah siang... WC every 3 days... else a good skimmer can help keep your water clean longer.... also in nano, very easy to overfeed. this leads to algae, high nitrate etc.... with a good skimmer, this problem is less evident. but redsea prizm also can lah... you just need to balance your skimmer effectiveness, stocking level, feeding regime, WC frequency just like mp 10 is a wavemaker. if cannot get one for the time being, koralia K1 is also a usable wavemaker. LED is nice, if cannot get, use T5, if cannot get T5 use PL lor...... just that stocking level and LS selection will be different then.... but you still can set up a nice tank using whatever eqpt..... just different type of nice reef tank.....
  18. oops.. that prizm skimmer lagi jialat... imo. fall back to mce 300 or remora nano ... price around the same I think. filter.... a bit complicated to explain. technical i use a filter sock to mechanically clean the water. yeah u will need a skimmer.
  19. can... before 9:00 when I bring my baby to bed. frgas... a lot of brown ones, green ones... haha.....
  20. I still have quite a number... just drop by CCK, I can pass u 2 pcs.
  21. Tunze 9002 skimmer? cannot make it.... try to use mce 300 or at least remora nano skimmer. there is a bracket that you can use to put on top of your tank. no need to drill. using mce 600 good luck bro... HUAT ARH!!!!!
