  9. I am inclined towards Bose too... but their build quality is really terrible. I have an on ear headphone but the padding on the headset turned mouldy and flaky..... Also it works only with battery. The Senny on the other hand can be wireless (bluetooth), used with cord, paired with multiple sources. but the noise cancellation and sound quality is not as good.......
  10. nothing much. you are already aware of the AquaIllumination LED that I am using hehe.. yeah its misleading.....
  11. haha your trademark emoticon......
  12. Been away too long.... Was wondering what's Mazarra when I read Razali's post........... now i know..... Really impressed with the Wifi interface. Well done Vico and team ! While we were in Singapore for Aquarama a few weeks ago, we had a chance to get some hands on time with the third generation Maxspect LED light, the Mazarra. Previously referred to by the codename of G3 Maxspect, the new Mazarra features all the best features of the G2 like individually replaceable LEDs, and ups the ante with a more streamlined replacement system, custom made solo-LED boards, wifi controllability all packed into a small CNC-machined housing which elegantly fixes to the aquarium from a highly flexible ball-joint mounting system. We could say more but then that would defeat the purpose of the video; all that's left to know about the Mazarra now is the final feature set, pricing and availability http://reefbuilders.com/2011/06/14/video-walkthrough-g3-maxspect-led-light-mazarra/
  13. http://reefbuilders....ium-controller/ Seneye is a new water monitoring device that is set to go into beta soon and is UK based. Seneye works by dropping a digital all-in-one monitor into your water that reports a wide variety of parameters and controls them as well. "Seneye believes its products are a massive step forward in animal welfare, allowing any fishkeeper to monitor invisible pollution in aquariums or ponds. The revolutionary product constantly monitors, among other parameters, free ammonia (NH3), pH, water level, temperature, LUX, Kelvin and PAR. Importantly, the Seneye controller utlizes predictive software, warning owners before a dreaded aquarium crash. The device is available with a USB for connection to a PC as well as an optional USB power adapter, allowing it can work autonomously. The results are relayed to the customer's computer and uploaded to their on-line web space. Alerts are sent to the customer via text messages and e-mail allowing for remote monitoring. The sophisticated software analyses the results and raises a warning when parameters stray from the norm, as well as recommending corrective actions."<br style="padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; "> The best part of Seneye is that it suggests and recommends actions when it detects something astray or not quite right. There will be three main models available at launch in July including a seneye Home, seneye Pond and seneye Reef version that offers different options depending on the device. You'll have access to a mobile version of Seneye that allows you to remotely monitor your aquarium perimeters and even report on them, address key deficiencies in your reef tank. The monitoring plan called Seneye+ is priced at around $8/monthly. The seneye Reef features include: Automatically monitors multiple key parameters<br style="padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; ">Constantly watching your aquarium, 5600 readings per month<br style="padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; ">Get healthier coral using the integrated LUX, Kelvin and PAR light meter<br style="padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; ">Early warning, intelligent software predicts future water conditions<br style="padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; ">Convenient alerts sent to e-mail and mobile phone<br style="padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; ">Access results worldwide, data stored online for easy viewing<br style="padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; ">Track your results with automatic graphing<br style="padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; ">Connect to a PC or optional USB power adaptor Pricing is expected at £99 in the UK for the Seneye reef version hardware with a July time frame release.
  14. http://reeftools.com/news/ecopico-reef-video/ Yesterday, we reported the release of the Ecoxotic EcoPico Reef. Ecoxotic’s newest LED aquarium, sports 3X the light intensity of it’s brother, the EcoPico. maintaining the same beautiful, simple design. This tank is going to be a great choice for any hobbyist that is looking to set up a small piece of the ocean on their desktop. No need to worry about overheating the small tank, the LED lighting arm with 3 LED strips will add no noticeable about of heat to the tank. Each 12K LED strip has 2 white bulbs, and one blue bulb, casting a very nice and crisp bluish/white spectrum. Filtration and flow are handled by the included pump-powered internal filter (and water changes of course). Here is a beautiful video showcasing the EcoPico Reef.
  15. Hey hi James.... I am now using Tunze 6055
  16. If only they came out with this cover earlier, then my MP10 probably would still be working today. reccommended for all vortech users who place their controllers in areas that are prone to water drippage during water change. http://reeftools.com...-lss-labratory/ LSS Labratory in Japan has been receiving reports that EcoSmart Drivers mounted close to the tank were being damaged during maintenance. You all know the "oh crap I forgot my hands were wet" syndrome. You're doing something in the tank, you think to yourself, let me turn down the flow, and sure enough you get the EcoSmart wet. Or you casually remove your hands from the tank dripping over the VorTech driver. In addition to these regular reports, the recent earthquake resulted in a wave of damaged systems. Any electrical component mounted near the tank, was likely to be effected by water splashing out of the tank. A need arose for a protective cover for the EcoSmart Driver. LSS Labratory responded to this need by developing a beautiful and sleek drip-proof cover for the EcoTech EcoSmart Driver. Like an iPhone case, the new cover offers great protection while allowing the hobbyist access to all the control features. While not 100% water proof, the new cover should protect your EcoSmart from damage caused during regular maintenance or the occasional earthquake.
  17. http://sg.news.yahoo.com/blogs/singaporescene/poly-student-tries-bribe-policemen-20-103135658.html A polytechnic student has been convicted of attempting to bribe policemen who had taken down his and his girlfriend's particulars after finding the couple together at a budget hotel. The 20-year-old student, Zheng Lin, was a student from China who came to Singapore last April to study in Temasek Polytechnic. He brought his girlfriend Mary to a budget hotel in Chinatown at 1pm on 17 September last year. According to Lianhe Wanbao, the couple met last year in China and became an item in July. This was not the first time the couple were checking into a hotel for sex. On the day of the incident, three policemen were at the budget hotel for spot checks and saw Zheng and his girlfriend. Zheng told the police that he was having a meeting with his girlfriend. When the policemen took down the student's and his girlfriend's particulars and were leaving the couple's hotel room, Zheng took out $20 and gave it to one of the policemen, requesting them to remove their particulars. The student was then arrested on the spot. Zheng has been sentenced to nine months' probation and 130 hours of community service. The prosecution has lodged an appeal, arguing that Zheng should see some jail time of at about two to three months.
