  3. Yay.. Sherman is here. My tank is a 1.5ft cube. = 1.5ft x 1.5ft x 1.5 ft No FTS yet cause still waiting for Tunze to be delivered. Another approx 2 weeks. No intending to use hood. It will be an open rimless tank. Hmm anyway to list out the parts that I will need Sherman? How many blue, white Crees? Which driver etc? Can heatsink be bought at sim lim tower?
  4. Cool. I am a nooby as well so we can learn together. My tank will be set up only early next month. So in the meantime, I am just spending a little time reading the DIY stuff. My tank is 1.5 ft cube. so if you do make one, your light will be 2x the length of mine.
  5. Anyone interested in building one? I am in the west. Thinking of doing one for my nano. Will be good if "old birds" like Sherman/ James can guide us.

  7. Hi all My 1.5ft nano tank assessories will be here sometime next week. Unfortunately my Tunze reefpack 200 will be delivered only in another 3 weeks time. Hence in the meantime I am looking for temporary skimmer to help me cycle the tank. Anyone has a spare one that I can loan or anyone looking to sell? The other thing i am looking for is live rocks. my tank is only 1.5 ft, so i am looking for fist size or maybe just slightly bigger. Staying in the west (choa chu kang area) Please feel free to contact me at 91853586. cheers Jacky
  8. Okie. Once I receive my lights & accessories.... sometime next week. Currently I have wrapped my tank and it is just sitting in a storeroom. My tunze reefpack 200 will not be here till 3 weeks later so the progress will be very very very slow I am going to order a couple of stuff from the States to help maintain the tank. If anyone else own an acrylic tank and would like to order too, pls let me know asap. HP: 91853586. 9. yeah must really take care of the flr. my 6 footer left some stains on the marble flooring. luckily i did not decom it before i sell it out. Else price will be lower again. take care not to wet that area. Else if you move your tank, it will be pretty unsightly in future.
  10. Collected my acrylic tank from Henkebe Plastics 2 weeks back. thank you all for you help. Can't wait to start
  11. I am interested. can post pics and pm me with the condition, price brought and no of years used? Jacky : 91853586
  12. hmmm... when i was younger..... I neglected my gf becoz of this hobby. Remembered that once I had her waiting for me for 3 - 4hrs while I rescape the rocks...... thinking back, that was not right. But i guess in younger days, guys tend to get obsessed easier. Just remember that it is not because he place the tank above you. It is just a passion and it is good to have a healthy hobby. Better than gambling etc. The balance in maintaining the amount of time on the tank and spending with you will come.. take a little time. In the meanwhile, just be patient. My advise is to read up more about reefing too and enjoy the hobby with him. I think that is impt for a relationship to develope - to have common interest. but at the same time, do communicate with him your feelings, being feeling neglected etc - tell in a gentle tone - most guys will understand. Pls do not use a "reprimanding" tone. Learn how to get through this stage of communication cause you will need it alot after marriage - there will be things like gaming, billards, personal time, soccer, looking after babies...... just take it postively as a trial and enjoy the hobby and relationship together..... cheers!
  13. WOW.... this will be a nice divider..... camping here .....
  14. Hi, Can the owners pls do me a huge favour. Pls see if your AC power adaptor states 110 VAC - 220 VAC? Pls PM or SMS me at 91853586. Many many many thanks!
  15. Why don't order from AM? I am ordering mine. Takes about 3 weeks for delivery. There is a 20% discount now.
  16. I have read quite a number of favorable response from nano-reef forum guys regarding this light. The light set is slim, sleek looks nice and rather affordable is you compare that to the other models in the market now. But as the technology is still rather new and i do not think anyone has own LED lighting for > 2yrs, I am a little skeptical as to the LED intensity over time. In addition, their warranty is only for 6 months which throw me off a little. If you have something that is claimed to be able to last 3 - 5 yrs, surely a one yr warranty period should not be too much to ask for. If it breaks down, shipping to and for will cost about SGD 140 already.
  17. hmm .... Guess I will keep the $$ in my pocket 1st and not be an early adopter. Will go for the JPJ viper then. AM has a storewide discount now... might as well make full use of it
  18. http://www.tuarrecife.com/foros/11-equipos...20&start=20 Tank with KR1
  19. REsponse from Eco - We are using the 0.75W LED on KR91, and 1W on KR92. The fixture comes with mounting kit and hanging kit. It hasn't any wall mount kit, you may have the bracket yourself & hang our light on your bracket.
  20. yeah. just a timer to on-off. nothing fanciful. this is a newly added feature.
  21. Hi, Any reefers here using the Eco Lamps LED fixture? Either KR1 or KR2. http://www.eco-sell.com/services/eshop/mai...20V&lang=us KR2 is now available. Tempting ..... rgds
  22. Yah... slanting towards the right.... maybe you wanna reinforce the mid with an extra "leg"
