don't be too happy yet. white spots = fish stressed by something. can be water conditions. it will come and go and come back again. Take care not to stress it further. Just feed it small amount regularly. when it is happy and eating, it will be able to fight off the white spots.

lol just joking friend. Just make sure you calibrate your monitor before use. for nitrate, I think all test kit is about the same. It prob does not matter if your tank has 2 ppm or 6 ppm. but when you see it climb over months to above 30 , then perhaps the alarm should go off. But being a perfectionist, you prob have your own ideas. Keep us posted on how tropic marine test kit fare and how it compares with API.

yes. scratches on acylic tanks are unavoidable one. I think I will be changing my tank 2 years later.

seems a bit extreme to be marked 60% warned just for the prodibio incident. sometimes it is difficult to expressed oneself correctly in the form of typing. writer's language proficiency, writer's choice of words used, reader's misunderstanding of emoticons used, reader's pre-conception of writer's motive even before reading, reader reading too much into the posting etc etc etc. I do not have the heads and the tails nor do I understand the political impact. but I do believe the mods must have their reasoning, and I believe you do have your stand as well and there are some misunderstanding inbetween. Surely all you guys should be able to sit down and talk this issue over. Rather than to have another chain of bickering posting, it is better to give each other a call and discuss and work things out amiably. we are such a small reefing community. how difficult can it be to enjoy this hobby together.
