Got a few quotes already. Currently designing my sump. Saw Comycus sump... seems like just what I need I wanna have space to put two filter sock. go through 1 and then the filtered water go through a second round. The 2nd filter sock will be as small micron as possible. Want a fresh water compartment for ATO. Then a small section for frags. If I cannot sell my AI, will use it in the sump for my frag corner. gonna be a small tank so I will have to design it properly to accommodate all these requirement and my MCE 600.

hey tench1, nice thought on drilling of rocks. I have drilled small holes for cable ties before. maybe drill a small hole 1st then use a larger bit. Also you may want to consider gettting the BM acrylic frag plugs that Dr Evil carries.

Not sure why you would test for Ca and not KH. Not an expert but I understand that Increasing Ca will inversely affect KH. You will need to balance both of them together. and if you have problem getting them to the required level, then Mg is the issue. But they are all co-related and need to be checked for proper level in the tank. These are very critical for SPS tanks and less so for softies/ lps/ fish-only. Encouragement to check for Ca alone seems like an ill advice and misleading to newbies too.

Hi bro. Yeah, do check on the salinity level. Also just note that different batch of NSW might contain different parameters. Personally I would prefer to do my own salt mix as the parameters are more stable in concentration. cheers

Yes it is a majano Kiko. I had 3 and they never did reproduce. Luminous green in colour. hehe.. you are the first to glue a majano to a rock i think (**its like gluing an anemone to a rock.) poor fella Here's how a duncan looks like. Average about $10 per head and they are very difficult to frag. the ones I have seen are luminous green and biege coloured ones. Try to get the luminous green with the face green coloured as well. They looks nicer imo.

I am building the tank according to the allocated space i have. one of the space - max 2ftx 2ft. the other space- max 2.5ft x 1.5 ft a bit bored with the cube model. so might go for a longish tank instead. yeah 18 inch is definitely more easier to maintain. no need to wash my armpit hair every weekend... haha gross i know.... will be getting one of the sponsor to design the tank. I am too lazy to think about sump design.

Another update: Brought my friend to SL today..... She got a pair of clownfish, purple firefish and a small blue tang.... I of course did not return home empty handed... a purple fishfish, a tiny blue tang, a neon goby, red scooter and a royal gramma. My tank seems to be too clean for the red scooter.....
