  1. its a good set of light at an affordable pricing.
  2. Just done my nitrate check. 10 ppm. dosing bioclean tml.
  3. Most effective in a FR. Else sump, cannister will do but not as effective.
  4. nope. i think he mentioned earlier that its dead already.
  5. give me the dimension of your plate. I help u to check if it is possible. also will need photo of your tank location to help bro. I am thinking of using - 2x bookstand (drill hoe and bolt them together forming a letter c-shape) - tuck it on side of your tank. maybe 2 on each side. - then just mount your LED on the 2 side. I am just thinking brazingly.
  6. btw its jacky , not jackie hor. waiting for yr tank pics
  7. just take out your epoxy and patch over it completely. that will do the work. next time just place a coral of it to hide the epoxy.
  8. not a fan of wrasse but that fish colouration looks nicer than those I see normally.
  9. wow every 3 days.... mine is every 3 weeks now.
  10. wow every 3 days.... mine is every 3 weeks now
  11. If you make the acrylic casing, then you can hang it over with a wall bracket. Did you check the cost for making the casing? Too thin acrylic will warp quite badly since there is much heat involved. I have got a spare giessemann nova casing if you want to use it. not sure if it will fit though. but your tank will be as tall as the light lol. hmmmm.... What is the dimension of the metal plate. Maybe some hard plastic box will do the trick. The sim lim tower black coloured plastic box might be suitable too. Those used for poly projects. actually have quite a lot of options to do the casing. but mounting wise.... might need to hang it.
  12. Arh ok. So you are thinking that because of the biodigest, more waste are converted to nitrates faster and hence when you add AZ No3, it becomes more cloudy. Well guess it will tell when 1 month + later cause by then, it should be less cloudy right since the BioDigest shld be more effective in converting to nitrogen already.
  13. your LED panel, is it the same dimension as your tank? or bigger?
  14. **slap... u shld have thought of this before getting the LED...
  15. BioClean can last me about 7 months based on 15 days dosage. If it assist me in maintaining an algae free tank and clean water condition for the fishes, I really dun mind investing 2 box every year.
  16. Can there be some kind of chemical reactions between the 2 ? I am going to stop using Kent Marine Trace Element when I dose Biotim. want to see if I can notice any difference in the tank.
  17. speculation or you tested? BioDigest should have the various strains to convert nitrate to nitrogen. My guesswork again. That's why I want to test before I dose. The best is if I can get hold of a nitrate monitor for 1 month Anyone has one to loan?
  18. 100L lol = my tank water capacity... haha..... This is 1 week since your 1st dosage right?
  19. BioClean by itself should do the work already.
  20. yeah if "aquarium is very dirty" - quoted from Prodibio. I think on the avg, 15 days should be ok. My guess.
  21. not yet Peter. Want to test nitrate 1st. Now too lazy.
  22. Currently, My 150W 20k MH is powered on for 8 hrs a day. Usually after 2-3 days, a thin layer of algae will appear on the tank walls. This is prob also due to the high qty and no of additives that I pour in almost daily. Will do a nitrate test tml to see the level. The plan is to try BioClean for 3 weeks before I start using Reefbooster. As my tank is pretty small, I will be dosing only half the vial. Anyone who is staying in the west and is keen to takeover the other half, pls PM me and I can pass you the remaining vial. Else I will consider if I want to keep it in the fridge for 15 days before dosing it again. FYI dosage interval is 15 days for both biotim and biodigest.
  23. Thanks ZM. Anytime you are around Lot 1, just give me a call and come up for a cup of kopi
