  1. w®ong. the LED combo on G2 is customizable. u can have more blue LED
  2. 'Thanks thomas for the compliment. . No all tangs will eventually outgrow the nano tank. Will try to keep one as long as I can. The former one from CF would not eat and starved to death. Got a replacement from a fellow reefer today. Hope he will do well in my tank.
  3. The list is quite short already. lol My tank should be able to sustain. I am a stingy feeder.
  4. wow, more detrimental to our health than what I thought. Really even for a few thousand worth of zoas, I do not think this is worth it. Nothing is more precious than life. well I still see zoa pox on some of my frags. hopefully there will be at least a couple of survivors. those that survive, will they succumb to zoapox if they break out again?
  5. Looking at long term: running cost over 3 yrs (changing of tubes) + electricity savings ==> LED more cost effective.
  6. Wanted to frag the zoas I have into 10 polyps bunch but simply dun have enough time to do it. End up just epoxy most of it onto the rock. If I do frag, then will keep you and Ray posted. Now I just want to let the zoas blossom and grow and fill up the front piece of rock. Also my zoas currently still have zoapox. But I have decided not to Furan2 treat it. Think it is a controlled medication. Rather not take the risk with my family. will let the zoas fight it off by itself. Most likely not getting anymore corals already unless I see something I really like. Tank is more of less full already. Will be getting fishes next. Most of my fishes perished. Need to get - Yasha goby shrimp - royal gramma - neon goby - mini yellow tang - six line wrasse - mini blood shrimp - mini starfish
  7. Yeah Justin, that is the main reason why I needed to rescape. Been knocking too many corals down whenever I clean the tank walls. End up I try not to and tank walls just get too dirty. I also removed all my live rocks & siphoned 90% of the sand I have and removed them. I think this caused my PH to dropped from 8.2 to 7.5 I am left with only 1 small piece of live rock and a very thin layer of sand inside. BTW, my tank so small , I dun think any fish will be happy inside
  8. Thanks Justin I was carrying my baby just now so could not type in my previous posts. I actually broke the large piece of replica rock I bought into 4 pieces in other to scape this compact tank. My criteria was to 1) have a cave for fishes to swim through. 2) clear sandbed 3) showcase platform for my zoas. 4) narrow tall scape so that the tank walls can be cleaned easily without toppling any rocks / corals when my hands are inside. 5) a scape that looks natural and pleasing to the eye I am glad to say that all the above has been achieved
  9. mice tank bro. my next tank will be same size as yours... looking forward to more tips from you
  10. Zorden, where did u get the yashia pair?
  11. That Is not a red mandarin. It's a blue/ green mandarin.
  12. Wow, yr tank coming along very nicely. Nice!
  13. you are talking about the same mandarin species and not the green spotted mandarin fish right? Between the red and green (some refer to blue) variation, the green coloration is nicer but the red is more rare.
