  1. lol... dun see lor.... let me see how it turns out. I only feed my fishes 2x a day. Each time about 5 pellets for each fish. Each week, they will get to eat some of the floating mysis when I feed my suns, blastos and rics. And then prob some of the coral food that I dose. but lets see how bad he poops.
  2. maybe a chevron? hehe but next could be the ABT
  3. a matter of time I guess. yeah by then prob will need to get a smaller replacement.
  4. Thanks bro ! The Tang - is a must. I really like the striking yellow moving around in the tank. try to resist it but cannot. Also my girl really likes this fish. Will try to find a work around to manage the bioload issue. Zoapox - Those infected seemed to have stopped the rot. I lost about 40% on this frag. Left with the left and right portion and they seemed to be surviving. Hoping for the best. As for the cause - damn, mine is a nano, could be light, could be salinity fluctuations, could be PH fluctuations, ... can be anything... can only keep my fingers crossed that the last outbreak was just due to new tank syndrome. and yeah, will be doing religious weekly WC and hope that helps.
  5. My tank is a chemical tank. you name it, I have it.
  6. Blasto bought from Peter. I think there are about another 5 new heads. Then Now Zoa frag bought from PeaceMaker Then Now Zoa frag given by Peter. I think has at least doubled in size. Then Now Red gonio from GO Then Now PPE Zoa from GO Then Now
  7. I am sure it will be soon. post pic when they bloom next time. Will be nice to see a red and purple gonio in the same tank. you have a luminous green one too? too bad I have real estate constraints
  8. thanks bro. show you some of your frags later.
  9. Armour of God update: from this to a single poly surviving and to this (4 polyps) after 2 months weathering all the storms. woohoooo!
  10. D&K For my gonio when I got them, they were not opening much. Maybe approx 1 cm only when I left them on the sandbed for the 1st 3 - 4 days. Ever since shifting it up towards more light, it has been gradually stretching to about an avg of 1.5 inch now. Just fyi in case if you face similar problem. here's a pic of mine just taken.
  11. I dun have such a big head lah... so better dun get such a big hat. Just a simple MaxSpect user.
  12. Hi wilson I think the max tank length it can support is 2 feet if you want a good spread throughout the full length. If you use it on a 2.5 feet, then maybe the left & right side of the tank (approx 10 cm from the tank wall) will be dimmer than the center. What light are you using now? cause there are also hardly any 2.5 lightset available. (maybe just Aquazonic T5?) If your scaping are away from the tank wall, then you can prob make do with it. Otherwise you can either - get the 80cm version (which is more costlier) - get a 60W + 110W version But best person to talk to is still Razali (nick Dr Evil). He will be able to advise you better. The unit only has 1 AC power plug and yes there is a built in timer in the driver for both the blue and white LED individually.
  13. lol no lah.... but after using the MH for one over month and now looking and MaxSpect G2. Wow... really no comparison. The LED brings out better colouration of my corals - I can see my purple zoas now instead of pink Yes I can see my pink zoas instead of light brown. haha...
  14. agree with Peter. I think GO pricing is aimed at niche market and there is no shortage of deep wallet reefers around.
  15. I might be getting a lot of queries about the difference between 150W MH 20k and the current 110W MaxSpect LED module. So here's a picture which might speak a thousand words. The camera setting for these 2 shots are exactly the same. No editing done on both photos. Under MH. notice the shadowy areas. I cannot see my PPE zoas. Under the MaxSpect G2 LED. Will post more thoughts over the next few days.
  16. MaxSpect G2 110W (Review Part 1) The printed label has been replaced with label tags. Looks much nicer. G2 now comes with a light stand and hanging kit! The connector seems to be of better finishing & slightly larger now. G2 now has one large fan instead of two and guess what? The fan is fairly silent! Awesome. The LED driver still sports the same look over its predecessor. My CREE White LEDs Blue LEDs. New Feature on G2 - Moonlight
  17. hehe... expert oledi cheers for you bro!
  18. tok cok king strikes againzzz..... anyway my new toy is here..... taking pics now. stay tuned
  19. Not sure if it is the massive change of water or change of medias or use of BioClean or removal of live rocks and live sand, the water seems ultra clean even after 4 days. Used to have an algae film on the tank wall on the 3rd day usually. You know you did something right when you walk pass your tank and unknowingly get mesmerized by it and ended by staring at it for the next tens of minutes I am now switching on the skimmer only in the night for approx 8 hrs.
  20. hey thanks Craftsman and Happy CNY too!
  21. My tank residents: yellow tang + True Perc + Purple firsfish + G goby, 2 Nassarius snail, 1 bumblebee snail, 1 sexy shrimp, 2 sand dollars
  22. thanks Bino. discipline in husbandry chores still key though. gotta keep reminding myself
  23. hmm might be soon. sometime this year maybe.
